Once more I have chosen a photo of a vulture that I saw in Florida a few years ago. I think that the reason that I am taken by these birds is that their face reminds me of a mask that someone would wear in Venice's Carnival.

The photo was originally taken with one of my Canon cameras. I used a number of elements in Photofox to combine the vulture with a stack of glazed donuts, then I "urbanized" it. Perhaps the result is a statement that, indeed, we live in strange and unusual times.

Todays Flickr 21 Challenge day 4 theme was donuts. I wasn't about to go out and get a donut during the winter storm we were having so all day I tried to think of something I could photograph. Late afternoon I found a recipe for cookie donuts and went for it. Btw, they are very delicious!

Definitely the best vegan donuts I have ever had...their vegan nutella and custard was out of this world...a close second would be Voodoo Doughnuts but there are more vegan options there and the donuts are named after bands, which is super cool. Highly recommended if you are in Los Angeles!
