A variation on the jacket from my Barbie Suit pattern, the skirt from my Barbie tennis outfit and the simple beret found in the High Collar Coat pattern, and in Six Hats. Making these 3 pieces in matching yarn give this outfit a vintage feel. So pretty!

At this point I've run out of scotch tape and had to switch to painters' tape. That's why my bodice is looking a bit natty - I've actually had to tear it apart in a few places to note my adjustments on my pattern. This is the front and you can see that it fits her beautifully.

Front view of my first try. You can see that it sticks out a bit far at the stomach (front waistline) and the sides are shaped a bit funny. For the record, I've made her waistline at her belly button.

(You can also see the new fine silver bracelets I've made for Ellen :)

Hoping to snag this new pattern tomorrow - it comes in three sizes ! Small (10.5" ) is 'Bratz' sized (but I hope to adapt it to Monster High size, instead !), Medium (11.5") is Barbie and LIV size, and Large (12.5") is Moxie Girl size.

I checked the pieces to see if they were the same as the vintage pattern. Bodice pieces are wider on the back and longer in length, this is a difference of millimeters but it changes everything from waistline to dart positions! Skirts are different too. Jackets are the same as the vintage pieces. Obviously this pattern will give a different fit to different era dolls.

The side view. You can see how far from her waistline the blocker currently goes. You can also see how malformed her armhole is.

Made from an old jeans of mine and the waistband is from a huge piece of clothe that was laying around for years.
