Cosmic print out dress 1/2. Corset, panties, peplum skirt.

Print out pattern for mint and rose floral skinny jeans, with pockets, and tiger tee and slutz tee.

Gold glitter print out jeans with a blue lace clutch and two tee shirt designs, drippy gap lips and #badbitchalert

*Make sure you print these out in *mirror mode* on your printer, if not, they will be backwards when transferring them to the fabric! :-)

The dart on the back needs to be in the center, not so close to the edge. Usually I trace over these in Photoshop or something but this scan came out so weird I kinda liked it....

Mommy mouse is carrying her baby on her back in a baby sling !!!! ^_^

This is the embroidery face pattern I drew for one of my silly little dolls. The doll is made from recycled fabrics and filled with clean recycled plastic grocery bags. To download the face pattern, click the "all sizes" button above and download the original size. I have set the copyright so that it can be downloaded and used. To see more of my free embroidery patterns, go to my set, "Stickers, Softies, and Stitching Patterns."

The recycled upholstery fabric is from the St. Louis Teacher's Recycle center, web site here:

If you use one of my free embroidery patterns, I would to love to see a flickr photo of what you made.

Best Regards,

Jacque

PS: Embroidering note: If you look at the large picture, you may be able to notice that the white highlights on the eyes are French Knots. I filled in the eyes, satin stitch for the pupils, chain stitch for the rest, and ignored the highlight while sewing, then after the eyes were filled in, I went back and put the highlight in with a white French Knot. Seemed easier. - JD

I am learning how to make patterns for my dolls! It is very exciting!

Revolutionary cake ( Den of Angels profile here: www.denofangels.com/forums/member.php?53792-revolutionary... ) has been kind enough to provide a very amazing step-by-step tutorial ( www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?407695-Patternm...! ) for bodice and skirt blocks/slopers, which are the building blocks for creating custom patterns for your dolls. I believe that she is still working on adding sleeves and pants to the tutorial, but I may be mistaken. A thread of bjd measurements has been added here: www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?411703-Pattern-...

BE WARNED!

The slopers that you create are extremely form-fitting. They are meant to be a BASIS for creating patterns off of, not the final product.

You can see my first efforts here. I have used paper towel (or kitchen paper as I have also seen it referred to) and scotch tape (clear tape). The reason that I have used paper towel is that it is cheap, has good body, and most importantly, it DOESN'T REQUIRE SEWING FOR FITTING! This means that it can be cut and fitted very quickly and accurately, making the whole process that much more streamlined.

Using scotch tape allows me to simply tear up the taped seam to remove or reposition the block. It also allows me to tighten/loosen the block easily and shape it with no guesswork (that you need when sewing the fabric block).

To transfer the drawn pattern to my paper towel, I simply folded the paper towel in half, aligned it underneath my pattern drawing along the front centerline, and used a pin to poke holes through the drawing into the paper towel. This transferred them really well! I then just 'connected the dots', cut it out along the lines, and taped it together. I did the same thing for the back. When I was done taping the whole thing together (to make sure everything was aligned properly), I just cut up the middle back line, put it on Ellen, and taped it up using scotch tape! Easy peasy!

My second pattern inspired by the V&A exhibition "Hollywood Costume"!

Whew. This was a doozy.

I adjusted the dart at least 3 times before it fit properly.

The armhole had major renovations and the shoulder line dropped slightly.

I mucked about with the bottom lines too. I decided that I would remove the french curves and keep everything straight across. The idea being that I will add appropriate curves to patterns I make off of these blocks in the future. I really want the waistline on this bodice block to line up with the skirt and pants blocks that I make for her.

A variation on the jacket from my Barbie Suit pattern, the skirt from my Barbie tennis outfit and the simple beret found in the High Collar Coat pattern, and in Six Hats. Making these 3 pieces in matching yarn give this outfit a vintage feel. So pretty!

pin her face piece on (making sure her pigtails are tucked underneath the face piece) and sew round. Repeat with arms.

complete, I have not tried this pattern, I think it fits Barbie but envelope nor primer says size of doll.

Barbie adventures are that much better in elegant hand made knits. Why not make this cute Barbie Fair Isle sweater?

This is Teva Durham's Fair Isle Capelet from her book Loop-d-Loop. It is a pattern for full sized humans knit in a very chunky yarn. I followed the pattern stitch for stitch using sock wool and it turned out to be exactly the right size for Barbie!
