The chest kept inside the Belfry contains the Privileges of the City of Bruges. Drawn up by the city magistrates the documents outlines the rights for the people of Bruges. To protect the chest it is kept behind a double grille and secured by nine locks each with its own key and keeper.
I am going to be slowly updating all of the images that I took of all of my purchases from 1/22/02-4/22/04. This documentation used to be on my website www.obsessiveconsumption.com, but has long since been taken down. I am revisiting these images in order to create new images. I am searching for where the object is now and if still around, I plan on documenting the history it has had over the past few years.
Flickr is going to be my organization buddy in this process.
Most of these images were taken in Lincoln, Nebraska when I was in graduate school.
Some dolls from childhood that survived, so to speak, in some regard. My childhood and my mother's in some cases. Interestingly, S__ is creeped out by dolls, while J__ wants to pretend they are real babies and carry them around for a few minutes before being bored that they don't interact with him.
