Clearly in a rut, it's taking me a long time to move away from the Self Portrait genre. My apologies.

Studio documentation of general and analogue tonoscope prototypes developed prior to Seeing Sound 2.
2008 June 10. Documentation of sample roasts of Nicaragua Limoncillo (I spelled it wrong on the tag). This roast was to warm up the roaster - that is what the 50°-100°C is there for... helps with getting my feel set for the session. I don't expect this to cup very well.

Included documentation. Note that a cleaning cloth is supplied and it comes in handy for keeping the awesome touch panel in pristine condition.
Using the powdered chalk from an architectural snap-line I've been leaving my handprints on various outdoor surfaces. Typically the surfaces are already marked with some sort of indexical mark.
(ie. the lines in a parking lot, the mark left by tire tread in mud/snow, the mark left by cross-country skis in snow, the mark left by boots in mud/snow, etc.)

We paid an RV place to put a new gasket around the door of our trailer. Now the door doesn't close well at all. Witness this crack at the bottom.
documentation of 'shop window exhibition, nottingham december 2005.
i am really interested in how context alters a piece of art and vice versa. i use the same group of objects within my installations, bringing in others found on site. the expectations and connotations brought to the piece are very different depending on the situation eg: a gallery, shop or outdoors. with this ongoing set of work i am interested in how this affects the reading of the piece.
* this piece is meant to be stumbled accross. placed in a run down shopping arcade just out of the city centre, i wanted the piece to draw the attention of shoppers, maybe people who don't go out of their way to see art. this type of setting ensures a different interpretation than a gallery setting.

Lots of photoshop. For instance the tire is from the other side of the car and the trunk was a rusty mess. Hey, I'm an artist and now it meets my vision of this classic car.
