Across Mistress Lane, in the vicinity of Old Town, lies an old theater building which is part of a heritage conservation project, and now being rebuilt into a hotel. Its surrounding courtyard is opened to public and a great way to relive the good old days.

Mistress Lane or Concubine Lane (二奶巷) is approximately 500m long lane is located at the heart of Old Town neighborhood in Ipoh. During the tin-mining era, many rich miners had their mistresses stayed in these houses, therefore this tiny lane got its name after the infamous history.
With investors flocking in from neighboring Singapore, Mistress Lane is getting a "facelift" - transforming into a coming " it" place for pubs and cafes in Ipoh.
Today, this small alley has become "The" tourist attraction in Ipoh city.
