It was awesome that our guides were MSF (Doctors Without Borders) field volunteers who had served in refugee camps and could give first had accounts.

I was going to try and get a shot of the pretty little purple flower lamp, but the quiet mood across the room caught my attention
We were lucky, while viewing one of the non used arrivals areas, we discovered an old airplane sitting on the tarmac. This plane suddenly started having a handful of passengers boarding, and while we were waiting, was started up and taxied up the runway to takeoff.
Nothing quite like those classic planes, and how can you not love that this one was still working.

This has a bit of a story. You see, there are NO signs saying don't climb on the monuments. I looked. The result was me climbing up on a bunch of rubble to get eye to eye with the feet of the Pharoh to take this picture. I got yelled at by the guards and chased down, but the result was this photograph. Well worth it, I'd say.
