Draken H should of departed for Home today, but due to 25Knt winds departure has been delayed 24 hours,so time for a bit of rowing practice on the West Float.

Dock jumping is on my list of things to do with Tessa, but I have not really pursued it yet, for lack of opportunity, mainly. Today, we were all kind of milling around the pond and some folks were encouraging their dogs to jump. I had no intention whatsoever to encourage Tessa, as I thought this dock was way too high for beginners. I sure as hell did not think she would jump on her own. I went back to the car to get my camera to take some photos of the others jumping when I heard a splash; I turned around to realize I had just missed Tessa's first dock jump! Dang!
I did see her second one though. And third. And forth. That was it for today.
A Scheduled Ancient Monument (so it's illegal to mudlark here) - not sure if it's a natural or artificial inlet of the Thames, but the guide suggested it might have been the mouth of a now-vanished stream
The new MediaCity:UK development sits just off Dock Nine on the Salford Quays. This particular dock was the largest and could contain up to ten ocean liners.
This blue number 9 faces the dock itself and is inscribed with quotes from those who worked here during days gone by.

On Friday the 30th May 2014, Their Royal Highness' the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, officially reopened the museum, after its HLF funded refurbishment. The evening was attended by Friends of the Museum, veterans, volunteers, those who worked on the museum plus more!
PEARL HARBOR (May 3, 2013) A Sailor assigned to Assault Craft Unit 5 mans the rail aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47) as the ship approaches the USS Arizona Memorial, in preparations of their scheduled port visit to Pearl Harbor. Rushmore is returning from deployment to the western pacific region with the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5), the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20), and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
