Driving home from hiking around with Lindz & the Boom in the endowment lands, we spotted this Eletra 8-Ball leaning up against a table at a yard sale, so we pulled a quickie U, parked, and inquired as to whether this fine ride was on the docket. Indeed it was, has it's manual and everything, seems like scarcely ever even been ridden. Bonus? The helmet, lock, and air pump we picked up next cost almost as much as the sweet new ride. Dude seriously gave us a sweet deal. And threw in a CamoBot "B-Boy Supremacy Modulator" roto figure w/ box for an extra fiver.
Background for the bike is a neat yarn. The owner works for Red Bull taking groups of X-Treme sports types around the local hot spots, like a tour guide of sorts. One of his friends borrowed his company funded rental car and did some Dukes of Hazard action on it that the rental company spotted and demanded recompense for. So once the rental company billed Red Bull, and Red Bull billed our protagonist, our protagonist turned to his friend that'd caused the damage asking for some pay up. Friend says, sorry, dude, got no money. However, I do have this SWEET bike my sponsors gave me, how about that instead?

Weinstein, an associate judge at the District Court of Maryland, District 1, with the Brig. Gen. Philip Sherman award for outstanding service to veterans and military members on Apr. 27, 2017 in the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore. It features a nicely implemented "Wellness" remodel from 2014, which has the left side gondolas positioned vertically and the right side horizontal, as well as the usual wooden accents and round hanging signage.

The legal needs of our men and women in uniform were front and center for the launch of the Baltimore City District Court Veterans Treatment Docket on October 13, 2015, at the Eastside Courthouse in Baltimore. The Honorable Halee F. Weinstein, herself a U.S. Army veteran, presided over the docket, the first District Court docket of its kind in the state. Attending luminaries included Chief Judge John P. These photographs were taken inside Gallery 3 of the Towner in Eastbourne which is dedicated to the work of artist Barbara Walker who wrote the following:
"Entitled Burden of Proof, this new body of work reflects on the stories of individuals touched by what the journalist Amelia Gentleman has described as “The Windrush Betrayal”. The work considers the extensive reach of the Windrush scandal through portraits of those affected by the actions of a hostile state. Betrayed by the same authority that had once extended a warmer welcome to Britain, families and wider communities were left fearing for their futures outside the country they call home.
Having placed the burden of proof on individuals, the Home Office demanded to see evidence that would prove their right to stay in the UK. In the absence of passports or official papers such as landing cards, personal records, medical notes, dockets, and receipts were among the documents used to verify UK residency and to build a case to remain. Across this series of large-scale drawings, my work centres on the evidence that helped to prove the legitimacy of those the British government had wrongly labelled as ‘undocumented migrants’. From an invoice for legal services to a temporary certificate of discharge from the military, the work features hand-drawn facsimiles of original documents sourced from personal and public archives with portraits overlaid.
With portraits hand-rendered, recognising the value of the document as an extension of the portrait and now attached intrinsically to the identity of the subject through their experience of the Windrush scandal."
I found the works very moving and marvelled at the portraits freshly drawn on the wall. They will be washed away after the exhibition.

We had a magnificent weekend day of stitching, eating fresh salsa from our garden, finishing off the last season of "Walker, Texas Ranger", and doing a wee bit of garden work. Also on the docket? Baking bread. But I kept dragging my feet and dragging my feet and dragging my feet... before finally cranking up the mixer when we called for pizza delivery. It was a good day, other than the damn bread hanging over me the whole time.
