I wanted to control iTunes with my (non-Jailbraked) iPod touch, so I wrote a little Django application which can be accessed via wlan.
The (very simple) program uses Python bindings to Apples little-known ScriptingBridge and controls iTunes via native API-calls.
I'd really like a slider control for volume, but it turned out to be quite hard to implement with the touch interface. There's still much room for improvements, but the basics work -- now I can turn the music on and off via the iPod!
The whole point of making a TODO is list is for the visceral satisfaction of crossing things off, right? There's nothing more satisfying, when working on an endless series of small issues, than being able to put a good solid line through a completed item.
(Secret bonus feature: trying to work out how lazy translations might work, including the rarely-seen-in-public smart_unicode_immediate() function.
Finally my expedition bike is complete. Built around a Donhou custom frame, it also comprises of a Brooks Flyer Special saddle, Chris King hub, Ritchey Biomax Pro handlebars, Alex Adventurer rims, Schwalbe Marathon tyres and a Shimano DH-2N72 Dynamo Hub and a bunch of other stuff.
