You can choose to go more or less than 2 inches, do make sure that you leave enough material to maintain structural integrity of your box, though.

With my job being a 3D-artist/-designer and my hobby of 3D printing I thought of a nice and experimental project related to photography. I've been very interested in generative design lately and explored a hybrid modeling technique to incorporate organic, turing pattern like surfaced into industrial design models. I chose to make this organic and somewhat alien looking grip for my Yashica Electro 35CC and print it on my MSLA printer. This project was all about experimentation and learning. So I took the opportunity to also try mixing my own resin colors. That bone like one was mixed from 3 different resin colors and the black one from 2. Besides that I recently upgraded my FDM printer to a direct drive which allows me to print rubber like material. So I also made custom rubber grommets for the base plate. To finish things off I applied a few layers of clear coat to both grips for a glossy look.

After cutting out your 3 panels, this is approximately what your box should look like. Notice that I kept the bottom / sides of the box intact, you'll see why later.

Then lay down your tape in diagonal stripes, pressing the tape down as you go, and leaving space in between the stripes. Try laying it down in a different direction in one of the corners for a more realistic look.

Step 1: Materials for pallet vertical garden
1 wooden pallet ( which is used for transport of goods), a burlap, sturdy garden film, scissors, furniture stapler, universal soil, plant seeds or young seedlings.
How to do it:
Step 2: Attach the burlap to the inside of the pallet. Wrap the back of the pallet with garden film and secure with a furniture stapler. Do this just on three sides (except the top end) by turning the corners.
Step 3: Turn the construction with the open end up and fill the entire volume with soil.
Step 4: Make small cuts with scissors in the burlap and place the seeds or the plant seedlings. It is desirable to keep the pallet in a horizontal position until the germination is guaranteed. It can be flipped vertical when you see that the plants are well “settled down.”
The pallet vertical garden is especially attractive with low herbs ( thyme, mint, lemon balm), twine annuals or perennials (Sweet peas, Cobaea, Morning glory), low-growing flowers (pansies), and even berries (strawberries).
The special thing in this pallet vertical garden is the ability to move the pallet with the plants.

look & see how the color pallet is going to work for this outdoor project. I must say, even though these chairs still need another coat of paint, it all looks so good!
I make a Yule log every year using a chocolate chiffon cake recipe. This one's filled with vanilla and peppermint extract-infused CoolWhip. I took a large piece of birch bark (locally sourced from a dead tree), put ClingWrap over it, then put the Yule log on top. I dusted the whole thing with powdered sugar to make it look snowed-on and then added a small carved wooden bird.
Paint over the entire board, including the tape, with your base color to seal the edges and let dry.
After it has had ample time to dry, paint the entire board with your accent color. This will be the background color.
Then lay down your tape in diagonal stripes, pressing the tape down as you go and leaving space in between the stripes. Try laying it down in a different direction in one of the corners for a more realistic look.
