I'm blessed to be able to see a bald eagle diving this close but to be able to photograph it is just special. www.troymarcyphotography.com

a kingfisher diving is an amazing thing to witness, the speed and accuracy they have is incredible (and often hard to capture on screen!). Hours of waiting for minutes of hovering over the shutter, for a split second to capture the right shot.
I was lucky to have several visits from this female through the day, though it never seems like enough visits to capture that perfect shot!
This series of the Caspian Tern locking on, diving and shaking is probably one of the most technically difficult things I've shot.
Out on our Peninsula there are a few spots you find kingfishers. Mostly they sit doing nothing it seems but suddenly they spot something to eat and make a dive. The photographer's problem is staying awake waiting for this to happen :) A little copy and paste went on here.
Two hours to Monday here and wishing you a good week ahead.

Self-portrait (🎵But first, let me take a selfie.) of me on a diving board art installation at Bombay Beach at the Salton Sea. A faint Milky Way (due to the 85% moon) can be seen. Also, a swingset art installation in the water as well.
Made a last-minute decision to head out to the Salton Sea last night with another photographer. At first I wasn't sure whether it would be worth the drive and getting home quite late, but I'm glad I went. The water was smooth as glass and the temperature and humidity levels were surprisingly pleasant for the desert this time of year.
Shot with a Canon EOS R and Sigma 15mm EX DG lens. I did some cropping in post production to eliminate the fisheye effects.
This diving board and the swing set in the distance were installed by local artists as part of the Bombay Beach Biennale.
