It took some generous self-coaxing but I pried my butt from a throughly comfortable couch to doll up for Disco vs. Retro: Ten Year Anniversary Party at Project Ai Dallas. I wound up having a fantastic time but I'm paying the price for it today (groan). My dance-muscles need some serious toning. Thanks to everyone who came by to chat :)

Lavender entry to the 27th Scavenger Hunt

Okay - I have officially come full circle with my cookies - from baby showers, birthdays, first communions, graduations, weddings, retirements - but this was my first funeral platter!!! The woman was quite the diva in her days and they had planned a last party for her but she didn't make it to the party. The woman who ordered the cookies decided she wanted the cookies anyway and brought them to the reception after the service since they would make people smile. Everyone wore leopard print to the funeral in her honor. So I made zebra pumps, diamond rings, leopard handbags and silver tiara's - the gold tiara front and center was in honor of the former diva!!!!!!!
