"Soldier boy made of clay
Now an empty shell
Twenty one only son
But he served us well
Bred to kill not to care
Just do as we say
Finished here greeting death
He’s yours to take away" (Hetfield/Ulrich/Hammett)

A408 rolls into the town of Buckley, Illinois on the former Illinois Central with three SD70s, two of them repaints, leading four dead-in-tow C40-8Ms bound for the storage lines in Centralia. The end of the Barns is near.
There it was. Standstill, like a statue. Battery power was sure dried out a long time ago. It's kind of sad to find these Battle Droids in the desert like this. Alone. I'm sure, this unit has simply just got loose from it's owner.
For some reason, I've always liked this particular Battle Droid. Even, it's from the prequels, whose big fan I'm not, these droids look very photogenic.
For my birthday i was given a present with a bonus inside: a disposable camera. It had been a long time since I used one! Though, I thought it would be nice to use it!
And here it is.

I went closer to a droid, that were standing in the field of snowy Hoth. I've assumed, its battery dried out a long time. While I was moving around the droid, I putted my cameras down and all of sudden this thing moved!
One of the cameras I own, is the one which I often abandon on a remote area for a few weeks to check, whether there is any life on the area I'm thinking to move next. I think they call these a trail/game camera? Anyway, it has this automatic function to take a photo, if anything comes up in the viewfinder on the area it's pointed. This same camera here were pointing upwards near the droid and it automatically took this shot! Kinda lucky, I was.
What happened next? Well, that's another story. :)
When the sun is away
We still need to play
Those balls are a good match
We sure wanna fetch
There’s no sun
But a lot of fun
Yeah…another toy! :D
Lassie has to try first (then Candy!)…and she really loved it!
I introduced her those balls yesterday night…she wanted them in her bed! Like a teddy bear!
Pooooor girl!
When it’s all grey …every color shines so much!
Those balls looked like 2 little suns in our cloudy, grey and windy and cold beach!
(we only met another girl with 2 dogs!)
Have a shining Thursday my friends!
i am putting all those i've previously edited aside for now so that i may begin to indulge y'all with my adventure. the first leg brought us to los angeles, california. to me, la is viewed most accurately through the lens of a disposable kodak camera. things there are cheap and will inevitably break. it's big and dirty, disposable and over-exposed. it's washed out and over-saturated.
here is la in a nutshell. this is one town i don't want to rub off on me.
