This penguin (photographed in New Zealand) is an elaboration using Photoshop and After Effects (thanx to Guido - tutorial from www.total-photoshop.com)

The unfamiliar London light, much lower in intensity than Toronto's, defied me as I tried to shoot the Serpentine Bridge and the setting sun. Cars, black cabs, rumbled by; and pedestrians constantly crossed this bridge. When I'd warmed up in the sheltered walk along the Serpentine, I went back up to the bridge and crossed it on the side facing the camera back to Kensington Gardens.

One of many examples of stuff I doodle with for selfish entertainment & instant gratification in my o' so copious amounts of spare time.

Note: This is not an original work of mine, rather done from a tutorial (by Jessie Ascher) which can be found in Issue 27 of Photoshop Creative magazine.

I am playing with Displacement maps to make water.

Hear I was not happy with the water so I replaced it with my own.

Some textile figures manipulated in Paint Shop Pro using layers and displacement maps.

Two passions of mine: the colour red, and the human face and form.

Displacement mapping experiment. The noise in the map image produces an interesting frosted glass effect. No other processing.

Experiments in wrapping a texture around an object. I would give this a thumbs up.

Playing around with the displacement map tool. It is so fun. So much potential. More to come…

This is a creation featuring a car that was in DP Mag for use with a displacement map technique.

The more astute among my viewers will recognise the original trees from previous shots. This was then added to with a layer copy and displacement map for the water effect.

I'm amazed the flowers are this profuse in April of all months in Toronto.

Another shot of The Girl in the Sky, but this time I used different effects on it. See the "normal" one of her in a different pose in my BIST Brain Injury Awareness Celebration set to the right.

I took my best shot of the Queen and played with special effects to pop her out of the crowd. Blogged here: pario.blogspot.com/2010/07/queen-elizabeth-ii-visits-quee... To see the original, go here.

An experiment with a displacement map.

Another image composed of two seperate photos I took. 1 or Tricia, and the other of the ground in the Badlands.
