Closer look at one of the second-shipment disks. Is this an improvement? Yes, but not much. Couple of things to note: (1) The gray around the vented circumference of the disk looks like an attempt at de-rusting by use of a rust-converter product. It's chipping off in spots, revealing rusted metal underneath. (2) the center section of this disk has a curved component connecting the disk plane and the lug-hole plane. Might be different products? They strung me along with empty promises until the dispute period expired, then ignored my pleas. More fool me, but that makes them thieves, doesn't it?
(Someone asked for an update: It's been two years or more. The point was: Even such high-volume and highly-regarded sellers can be rats from time to time. If they have something you want, at a price you like, it will probably be a problem-free transaction, but don't be surprised if there is something wrong, and do your objection and claims routines early. Don't let them run out the dispute period, as I did.
Matter of fact, I have something coming from them tomorrow (03 June 2009). We'll see how it develops ...)
(A week later: This one was perfect: excellent price, careful packing, timely delivery of an item that is exactly as advertised. I guess every one is a gamble; win a couple, lose a couple.)
Outer disk machining now complete I'm cutting the i.d. to the 1.750 in. required to just slip over the sprocket spindle.

And here's that pesky disk pushing my spinal cord around. Not no more... The spinal cord is the little white bean shaped thing and the herniated disk is the big black bully bearing down on it. For those interested in anatomy the black dots in the white bean shaped thing are nerve bundles...fascinating...for me anyway... No comments on the large amount of white in the corners...I have no idea what that could be...

bough a lot of scsi narrow 4Gb disk drive, cannot have too many spare drive. 19 seagate 4Gb drive plus three 9Gb wide drive.
Shot underneath the disks of a tractor belonging to my wife's daddy. He's been using a box grader to work on smoothing out our property, and when we've got that done, he'll use the discs to break up the soil a bit so we can plant some grass.
There was actually a tree way in the back, but I couldn't get the depth of field for a shot with the disks blurred in front of the tree.
