Being disabled doesn’t mean you can’t be a Steampunk enthusiast and actively participate in the events as this very nice chap was propelling himself around in his electric-powered wheelchair showed. He perhaps experienced the cobbled roads around the events more than most of us!

The holdeck grid pattern was achieved using this repeating design. About 40 of these sections snap together to form an unbroken criss-cross pattern. Back supports were added for rigidity.
