◼ I know it's been a while since I've uploaded a photo. I know this isn't THAT great of a photo either. However, I felt the need to upload something.. And I figured I'd upload this since I took this photo the other day (to send to my sister in law, in reguards to a this plant in my back yard).

◼ I have been pretty busy guys. Between work, my family life, private photography jobs & just trying to relax a little somewhere in between! ~ Which is why I've been kind of absent! Just busy! But no worries, I'm fine! :) I'll be updating soon.. Hopefully! I have to get a photo for my 52week "Anything Avian". Oh that will be fun.. lol

>> I also have to do my 52Frames at some point this week.. *TRANSPORTATION.. is the subject.. & Extra Credit would be "panning". We'll see how that works out!

>>> I have recently done a 52Frame challenge.. and uploaded it.. BUT didn't upload it here. Eh, it was OKAY but I didn't think it seemed RIGHT for Flickr. lol Just simple.. to get the challenge done. Like I said, I've been too busy.

◼ I hope all is well with everyone. I will be uploading something soon.. When I get time! I hope EVERYONE had a FUN & SAFE 4th of July!

Hi everyone, I'm disabled and have been without a source of income for over a year so if you are in a position to help, I have setup an account to accept donations, even as little as the price of a coffee. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

But I thank all that stopped by and took a look, hope you like!!

From my garden...

The Loch a'Chairn Bhain hold's a very historic role from WW2.

In 1943, these waters, along with adjoining Loch Glencoul, were used to train the crews of miniature X-craft submarines before going to Norway, where they successfully disabled the German battleship Tirpitz.

A memorial just north of the bridge pays tribute to the 39 crew who died and the local people “who knew so much and talked so little”.

In the 1970s, a residential building was built in a prefabricated building on the fallow land (after the bombing in World War II)

1995 Rolf Opitz had the idea to contact Hundertwasser for redesigning the prefabricated building in the Hundertwasser style, which the artist had already done with other buildings. Hundertwasser agreed, but a new building was built later because of the greater scope for design.

STRATHDON (IMO: 9381794) is a Tug that was built in 2006 by Kanagawa Shipbuilding - Kobe, Japan and is sailing under the flag of United Kingdom.

Her carrying capacity is 203 t DWT and her current draught is reported to be 3.5 meters. Her length overall (LOA) is 32.5 meters and her width is 12 meters.

A tugboat or tug is a marine vessel that manoeuvres other vessels by pushing or pulling them, with direct contact or a tow line. These boats typically tug ships in circumstances where they cannot or should not move under their own power, such as in crowded harbors or narrow canals, or cannot move at all, such as barges, disabled ships, log rafts, or oil platforms. Some are ocean-going, and some are icebreakers or salvage tugs. Early models were powered by steam engines, which were later superseded by diesel engines. Many have deluge gun water jets, which help in firefighting, especially in harbours.

Strathdon is an area in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is situated in the strath of the River Don, 72 km west of Aberdeen in the Highlands. The main village in the strath is also called Strathdon, although it was originally called Invernochty due to its location at the confluence of the River Don and the Water of Nochty. Also included within the area of Strathdon is the settlement of Bellabeg which has many of the local community's main facilities.

The view is at Leith is a port area in the north of the city of Edinburgh, Scotland, founded at the mouth of the Water of Leith.

The earliest surviving historical references are in the royal charter authorising the construction of Holyrood Abbey in 1128 in which it is termed Inverlet (Inverleith). After centuries of control by Edinburgh, Leith was made a separate burgh in 1833 only to be merged into Edinburgh in 1920.

Leith is located on the southern coast of the Firth of Forth and lies within the City of Edinburgh Council area; since 2007 it has formed one of 17 multi-member wards of the city.

I wasn't planning on posting any photos today.. However, although a VERY bad day.. *personal stuff going on at home*.. Just too much..

I did find about 5 minutes before being interrupted to photograph some water drops in the backyard with one of my lens attachments. And yes I am still shooting in MANUAL MODE. & I'm so proud of myself. When I am shooting thru manual ALL of my photos quality, the lighting, the focus.. everything comes out SO MUCH BETTER every single time.. *than shooting in regular automatic settings*. I have heard it 1000x on here and from photographer friends.. And I've been testing the waters lately.. And I'm so grateful that I have.

I feel pretty comfortable with it, although I STILL HAVE MUCH TO LEARN. And I'm so unbelievably grateful that I was able to shoot manual during the last photo session (the maternity shoot with Crystal and Anthony).. because as soon as I arrived I knew that the lighting was going to be a challenge with the bright sun and the clouds overhead coming in... and I was right. If it wasn't for shooting in manual and adjusting the settings for each shot/area/background/pose and with the changing clouds.. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been happy with the lighting in 95% of the photos. However, shooting in manual.. I was only unhappy with about 5% of the photos.. at the beginning *and that was only because I had accidently put the camera in "auto mode" again.. by habit.. and once I realized that and changed it- I was so happy with the lighting/colors and outcome of the photos.

_______________

Anyhoo.. yes a bad day like I said.. (I don't know how many of you know this.. but Juan and I took in my dad a couple of years ago to take care of him..) and he is in declining health & mental health.. *he has the beginning of dementia and also he was never fully there to begin with*. It has been trying to say the least... And today was a VERY BAD DAY. So my anxiety is so bad.. I can hardly function. I did manage to slip outside (because the weather is beautiful) and snap a few photos of the dew/waterdrops on the grass before being called in again to deal with ongoing issues. It's my "day off" today. But NOT a day off at all. I'm VERY grateful that I was off today though, because if I hadn't been.. I would have probably had to have called out to deal with this situation.. *it's that bad*. I'm grateful I was off for this. Although it's so bad it makes me wish I was at work.

... It's so bad that I have to take a snap to restart my mental.. my anxiety is so bad I can barely catch my breath.. (i really can't). I feel like I can't breathe and I'm sure my blood pressure is thru the roof (and gratefully I don't have high blood pressure, yet) but today I'm sure I do.

... *I literally only had enough time to take about 10 & I loved them all!!* I had such a hard time picking between my 3 favorites on which one to post.. that I'm going to have to post another soon.. They're incredible. I used my macro/wide angle lens attachment... I shot in manual mode.. and I couldn't be happier with my photos. That's why I decided to post one, because I was so happy with myself.

I'm so proud of myself, learning so much in photography lately.

Learning.. striving to make myself better. Wanting to learn and improve. And constantly becoming more proud of myself as the days pass. I'm just grateful for this opportunity. After my last relapse 2 & 1/2 years ago.. I wasn't sure if I'd ever get a chance to give it a go with my photography again.. & here I am. And every single day I am more and more grateful than the last. God is so good. Recovery IS possible. And I'm so happy. >>-Even in the worst of times, like TODAY.. I am happy and grateful.

>>>>>>I am ALWAYS looking for the rainbow during the storm.. Even though I know it comes after!! The sun will always shine again, & I never let myself forget that. I've made it this far for a reason.. and I'm just getting started!<<<<<<<<<<<

>>This photo was a submission for this week's challenge on 52Frames.com . The subjecft was "RED".

- I used my brand new 24" reflectors that I just got in the mail.

>>> (This was shot inside using direct sunlight from the open door & bouncing it off of my silver reflector... ) Also the nail polish was shot using white printer paper as the background (3 sheets) and I photoshopped out the lines. .

I just wanted to say.. I am quite happy with how the lighting came out here for this, using the reflectors.. *In my opinion*, it looks pretty close to studio light (on a smaller scale of coarse).

I got the reflectors for headshot/ portraits outdoors with lighting issues. I can always "edit it later" yeah, but why have more work for myself if I can kind of correct it during the shoot? Exactly!

I plan on getting some bigger reflectors now.. Now that I know how much I love them! :) Very cool. I'm happy.

& Yes I plan on buying (within the next month or so) some new studio strobes (going to start with one.. and probably go up from there after I figure out what I want/need.

- It feels good to be able to get the things I need for my photos, and try new things... Teach myself some new techniques. And get what I need/want for my photography & not worry about it disappearing.. (like before).

I've never felt so good with my photography. Because I'm doing what I love. The right way. Clear mind. Creative mind. Having fun, learning.. and growing.

Special:

- The 32 is basically an improved 600/32 with a bigger and more powerful engine and was redesigned by Johan van der Brugghen (W. van den Brink designed it original in 1955).

- The body was re-styled by Giovanni Michelotti.

- DAF was the first car to have a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) system - the innovative DAF Variomatic: a continuously variable gearbox transmission with an automatic two-stage centrifugal clutch in drum (with "het pientere pookje" - "the smart gear stick").

- An interesting feature: putting the car in reverse reversed the entire drive system. This enabled the vehicle, in theory, to reach the same top speed in reverse as forward.

- Advantage: it was the only small, affordable car with automatic transmission.

- Disadvantage: because the car had an unsportsmanlike image, it had often an "image" for the elderly or disabled people.

- The Series 32 was available as this 2-door Coach, as 2-door Panel Van, as 2-door Estate Wagon and as 2-door Pick-Up.

- They were only assembled in Eindhoven - The Netherlands.
