Here's a shot from the vista point on the way into Ancient Bristlecone Forest.
I sat here watching the light pass through the clouds in various intensities and direction, enthralled I captured several frames and noticed my gray jacket looked pink, I turn around and almost fell over at what I was beholding. You can see the shot from the other direction below.

the river bank along biosphere is a great place to hang out, you can fully appreciate the nature while enjoying the time with friends
While out photographing the Lichtenstein Castle a few weeks ago I was able to capture this sunset while being pelted with fine grain snow which was just enough to lightly cover the field in the foreground. Sometimes the best shots are those that were unplanned and in a different direction from the original target. :-)
Während der Weihnachtsfeiertage .. habe ich so nebenbei schon manchmal die Richtung verloren .. 😎👍

Take your pick, there's quite a lot to see in Dunham Park. Don't you think signs are always spoilt by "Toilets." I say that now but I won't when I need one lol!!!!!
Spring, Little River, Tennessee.
Fresh water, clear and fast, moves through the steep hillsides, heading towards Metcalf Bottoms. It's spring in the Smokies, new leaves are still wrinkled green claws, and flowers adorn the branches and flesh out on hillsides. Here on the banks, the white noise of the river is the only audio I hear--no phones, no questions, no cacophony of machines. The change from the barreness of winter is dramatic. Small wonder that spring is connected with love. Life is new , the air is fragrant and fresh, color is intense after the long brown months. Spring makes the blood quicken, like the water rushing by me. I wish I could stop it here, hold it, make it last. But seasons are time, on the move like the river. Dogwood arms usher it ahead in the direction of flow. I take a deep breath, inhaling hope and anticipation, and head downstream.
This object, whilst decorative, is almost entirely useless. The hygrometer is vague, the clock’s hour hand broke after 6 weeks so hangs by gravity, and the thermometer is inflated (especially in the sun). But it shows “trends”, ie. Direction of Travel…
Our patio, July 2022.
(Incidentally, at time of shooting it is very hot here in the South Eastern UK, not quite what this is showing but still around 35 celsius and rising. Very uncomfortable).
