I tried to use a self made glue/sawdust filler to cover some cracks. I didn't sand away all the glue, stain doesn't stain glue and this is what it looks like if you try to correct it. Bad.

The legs are much trickier than they appear at first glance. Not only are they tapered but they are also angled and rotated out slightly (they are further apart at the bottom and not at 90 degree angles to each other).
