It can be tiresome to wait on the two legged friend when she starts to hide her face behind the big black eye

Lake Fryken

Sweden

There has been a palace at this place since the 14th century. The richest guy in Sweden (Carl de Geer) bought it in the early 19th century, but his wife didn’t like the design. She had been reading Sir Walter Scott’s novels about the knight Ivanho and wanted the castle to have a more romantic medieval style. Scott himself had also built a medieval castle, Abbotsford House, in Scotland, with Peter Frederick Robinson as architect. The same architect was contracted and the work was finished in 1848 after 16 years of construction (but the interior had mostly been kept). Stora Sundby has got 4 big towers (the seasons), 12 small towers (the months), 52 rooms (the weeks) and 365 windows (the weekdays). The palace is privately owned and open to the public only on May 1.

A friend helped to pop up the post-processing, you know who you are, thank you!!

Continuing with pictures from a fantastic "fog-morning" in a small villige called Pershyttan. Iron production in Pershyttan started as early as the 14th century and continued in various forms until 1967.

Lots of Ghostly places here.
