China, Shanghai, Dongtai Road Antique Market,…street life, having fun taking a shot of us, while I took a few shots in the alley, afterwards they showed us their photos.

A lane at the open market on a small street near Xintiandi, mainly dealing with porcelains, bronze, wooden & jade wares, paintings, calligraphy, embroidery utensils, etc. where with patience & diligence to find some interesting antiques or feel the ancient culture of China.

Although the authenticity of many of the items available at the stalls are questionable & even if you don't buy, the sheer experience of walking down this alley is something to see. The Antique Street treat your photography collection with the old & vintage scenery while taking a stroll if you have some extra time in shanghai.frames & a solid wooden doors are commonly known as Shikumen. People adopted simple engravings on the stone frames.

When no one’s there to inspire you, be inspired by the world. Be motivated by the diligence of the ants. Witness their struggle as they carry food 10 times their size just to take it home. Be inspired by the strength of the rocks as they relentlessly take in every crashing wave of the ocean. Be inspired by the beauty of the budding flower as it patiently waits for the sun’s rays. When the world fails to inspire you though, be an inspiration to yourself. When the sunrise no longer moves you, find magnificence in the madness that you’ve been through in your life. You have lived long and have more than just survived with each day. Never forget your passion. It is the only fire that struggles to keep your heart warm. Be proud with every breath you take. You’ve been brave. You’ve been battling with open wounds; with only your heart and hands as your weapon and shield. You are more than just an existence. You are an inspiration. You have lived. Be an inspiration.

A brown bear sow fishing for salmon in Anan Creek while her cub keeps close.

There are many threats to the cub from other brown bears to black bear boars to the creek itself. It only survives due to the diligence of its mother.

I get it. Confirmation bias: Humans naturally rationalize what deep down we want to see. Seeing in the law what she is predisposed to pluck, a judge bends and blinds justice. A franchised business buyer in love with the thought of owning a business focuses only on one franchising brand with no other franchise from another brand to compare it with. Worse yet, he ignores and discounts the bad in a bad business from an already meager one-brand effort of due diligence. Such logic fallacies and biases are a noteworthy word of caution.

Truisms appear wise and interesting; but frankly, I'm wary of unsubstantiated thought experiments dished out in broad strokes, even when I like it.

Docked near the Hilton on Wilmington's riverside

tucked away in the labyrinthine heart of valencia's old town, 'little chinatown' breathes quietly through this frame. the shuttered neighbor sleeps, while a solitary figure casts a gentle spell of life within an open doorway. here, cultures weave together, a tapestry of distant homelands carried on the scents of exotic spices and the muffled clinks of kitchenware. it's a whispered dialogue between the vibrant chaos of day and the introspective silence of night, a single snapshot capturing the story of a neighborhood's slumber and the wakeful diligence of those who stir while the city dreams.

Just below the impressive pulpit was a card with a brief autobiography of William Guthrie this was an amazing discovery for me. I did not know he was buried in this Cathedral. He was the eldest son of the Laird of Pitforthie, an estate just North of Brechin. William was educated in St Andrews and was influenced by Samuel Rutherford. He was ordained as minister to Fenwick in Ayrshire in 1644. His diligence and preaching drew large crowds and his parish became a centre for the Covenanters. His book “The Christian’s Great Interest” was published in 1658 and was translated into many languages and is still available today

Mirit Ben-Nun dizzyingly integrates all of this into her private career, a colorful and spectacular painting, which ranges from Aboriginal diligence to feminist consciousness. Ben-Nun adorns the successful women with a tremendous abundance of colors and patterns, generously and with joy of life she wraps them with ‘mandorlas’ (almond-like shape), which surround each other and create “Babushkas”.

‘Your Own Dream’ is a modern Pop art style exhibit of paintings of women, by the feminine spirit of the artist, Mirit Ben-Nun. The painting series of the women was created and inspired by the book “Presence. Impact. Leadership”, and the majority of the women painted in the exhibit participate in this book by Dr. Efrat Liani, published by Kineret Zemorah Dvir.

Hi! I love sharing my photos on Flickr. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of nature and see amazing moments captured in photos. Recently, I took this stunning photo of a bee collecting nectar on a flower. It was a moment of awe to see how diligently it works. Come in, take a look, and comment! Here's another shot from our Escalante Workshop back in May. These three pinnacles are some of the most unique formations in Devil's Garden. While shooting here, we struggled with the temperature dropping below the dew point. Thus, our lenses kept fogging up and required a lot of due diligence.

Autumn morning along the boardwalk.

This image was originally a 16mm shot. Sony firmware for this lens crops and corrects for vignette and distortion, and few other tricks.

I experimented with the RAW file, which returns an actual ~14mm image! The SELP 1650 zoom can actually go wider. Thus it's a versatile wide angle in a pinch. As long as one understands this requires some due diligence in post... a very usable wide angle composition can be achieved.

Shola Craft . The craftsmen use spongy stem of shola plants which grow in marshlands or paddy fields. Its scientific name is Aeschymene aspera. Shola plants have an important role to play in making ornaments for deities (like this one), their background scenes, and in designing their costumes.... Check my other posting "Goddess Kali".

No need to be ‘frazzled’? LOL

Because: Seven is the most significant number across religions and cultures

It also appears in some of the world's favourite fictional works

Poll of 30,000 people reveals 7 is overwhelmingly our favourite number

There are seven virtues: humility, chastity, kindness, patience, abstinence, diligence and liberality.

There are seven days of the week, seven colours of the rainbow, seven notes on a musical scale, seven seas and seven continents.

Snow White ran off to live with seven dwarves, there were seven brides for seven brothers, Shakespeare described the seven ages of man, Sinbad the Sailor had seven voyages.

And when Ian Fleming was looking for a code for James Bond, he didn’t go for 006 or 008. Only 007 had the right ring.

I promise - no, I swear ! - now I'm done with my "Fantasy Faire 2021" photos - at least for this year - Fantasy Faire 2021 is over, and all involved look back on the past 3 weeks with one laughing and one crying eye .

So much fun, work, diligence, stress, laughing, crying, remembering, fundraising, supporting, broadening horizons - and much more. All this is and was only possible because everyone pulled and is pulling together.

The Fantasy Faire is actually an old-fashioned, outdated ideal concept - because what counts here is togetherness and responsibility towards others, and not, as is so often the case nowadays, just putting oneself in the right light. So Fairelanders are perhaps a little naïve, a little old-fashioned - but that's exactly what makes us so strong. Taking the extra step when the other person is already limping... reaching out when someone can't reach anymore, listening carefully when others become quiet, giving a smile even when we might feel like crying.

Many thanks to each and every one of you for everything you have done and achieved. From the organizers, the sponsors and idea providers, to the designers, world builders, the tirelessly working team on all different levels, the chroniclers, the photographers, the idea providers, the hidden surprise chickens - to every single visitor.

Thank you for your donations, your criticism, your loving words, your compliments, your time, your energy - your help, your feedback and your straightforwardness.

Stay healthy and take good care of yourselves! All my love from the bottom of my heart,

Chaos is inherent in all compounded things. Strive on with diligence.

Idleness brings poverty, but diligence leads to wealth (Prov. 10:4)

Poverty does not just happen—it attacks, it mugs. Idleness is its chief opportunity. Imagine work as a security system, a theft deterrent. In home defense, it is a 12-gauge shotgun.

We should see our “job” as a divinely appointed opportunity to create, produce, advance, progress, serve, etc. Don’t see your job as just time spent and have a opportunity to “witness”; rather, witness your faithfulness by your diligence, integrity, and purposefulness in working.

yes there are people who cant work due to many reasons and they feed them , cloth them and provide them shelter is our responsibility and ur heart would b pleased and same would God's.

Bt what about those who cant work bt dont, even if they are offered.Would our heart will be happier up to the same state as it was helping the other category.Wouldnt it be stealing from the community rather contributing to it.Taking away the part of those who actually deserve it.

I do believe that all the people are different and posses different set of capabilities.....everyone of us is unique and at sometimes its really difficulit to do a thing which u hv never done before....not everyone is Einstein ...there are people like me as well who are not so very intelligent....bt people like me succeed as well.....beacuase they try...they are not victims of laziness....its just that they never stop trying ....

Its time that we should understand our very purpose of life.

Thankyou all for ur support n encouragement.....its always a delight to be with u ......

God bless you everyone ....hve a blessed weekend....

A combination of winter run-off and the diligence of beavers created this dam at the mouth of a favourite fishing creek that runs into Wolf Lake, in Yukon Territory, Canada. The lake is only accessible by floatplane and the single fishing lodge beside it operates only from mid-June to around end of July. This makes for fun fishing and great wildlife spotting.

Incidentally, the dam stretched bank-to-bank and made the creek inaccessible by boat. Bonus was, we saw beavers!

I'm stampolina and I love to take photos of stamps. Thanks for visiting this pages on flickr.

I'm neither a typical collector of stamps, nor a stamp dealer. I'm only a stamp photograph. I'm fascinated of the fine close-up structures which are hidden in this small stamp-pictures. Please don't ask of the worth of these stamps - the most ones have a worth of a few cents or still less.

By the way, I wanna say thank you to all flickr users who have sent me stamps! Great! Thank you! Someone sent me 3 or 5 stamps, another one sent me more than 20 stamps in a letter. It's everytime a great surprise for me and I'm everytime happy to get letters with stamps inside from you!

thx, stampolina

For the case you wanna send also stamps - it is possible. (...I'm pretty sure you'll see these stamps on this photostream on flickr :) thx!

This shot was taken from Ft. Pickens as I awaited sunrise on 26 June, 2024. I have photographed the ships here before, but there were always just two cutters in port. Catching so many assets in port at the same time often indicates either a ramp up/down in operations, training exercises or budget cuts.

While taking this shot, I was reminded of the sounds, sights and smells of the USS Canopus AS-34 and Mahan DDG-42 as they came alive each morning and the sunrises and sets that I watched from their decks…a blessed experience that I am truly grateful for.

Now I’m an old guy standing on the beach over a mile away, taking a picture and thanking the men and women aboard those ships and station for their service…with a bit of envy in my heart.

Due Diligence: Movie producer Jeffrey Levy-Hinte, whose resume includes the 2003 youth drama "Thirteen," bought this 1934 house five years ago for $3 million.

It was built for actress Anna Sten. Neutra, one of the most famous California architects, designed the house in the International Style, with rows of tall windows overlooking rolling lawns and the ocean.

Mr. Levy-Hinte says he spent $4.5 million for a complete restoration, helped by Neutra's original drawings.

Asked why he's selling the house for little more than its purchase and restoration costs,

Mr. Levy-Hinte terms the price tag "appropriate for the market."

He says he's now spending more time away from Los Angeles.

Everything we are and do is a product of our attitude about life. The Bible says: As a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). It adds: Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

Visualizing each task as a special assignment from the Lord and using all my energies to accomplish it.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. - Colossians 3:23

I know I had not been as good as I should have all year. I tend to be grouchy when I want to do art, or when I just want to read or be left alone . . . but anyway, Santa saw fit to bring me a new Nikkor 28-400 lens, which I now need to live up to! :) Shot these from a LONG way away! I am loving this, but it takes some babying, which for me, means diligence with the tripod!
