A South Ferry bound R62A 1 train is signed up as a 12 as it heads into Dyckman Street on a sunny autumn afternoon in Inwood. The “12” is a bit of an oddity to see displayed, as the current IRT/A Division routes only use single digits. The R62/62A roll signs do include 10 (Lexington Ave line), 11 (Flushing line), 12 (Lexington Avenue line) and 13 (Broadway-7th Avenue line) as possible replacements for the rush hour diamond express services of the regular single digit IRT routes.
~This is one of my favorite shots of Rockaway Beach in Pacifica, Ca. The sand had a soothing feeling under my feet and I like how the stones in the sand had a smooth texture about them which gave it a wonderful luminosity from the shimmer of its wetness.
