“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”

― Helen Keller

It's incredibly easy to get loss within yourself. Giving yourself misguided directions, lying to yourself. Having the same delusional thoughts that led to nowhere. Always falling back to the familiar places, places that are long gone.

More conduits rippled beyond recognition, . . . :D

I get asked a lot, "What is going on in your head?". Here you go. A little behind the scenes look during a recent repair.

An "impressionistic" image of wisteria that hangs over the walls of Worcester College in Oxford. I've not been able to visit that area in a nearly a year now, due to pandemic restrictions and lockdowns, so I dont know if they are still there to bloom again this year ... I like to think they are ...

The macro world is pretty amazing when you are able to get a close look. These little pollinators look amazingly like helicopters.

“The Sun is 93 million miles from Earth. In 1610, Galileo observed sunspots on its surface, proving that the Sun was rotating and at different speeds. It also proved that you never know who's watching you.”

― Stewart Stafford

Stewart was born in New York City to Irish parents. The family moved back to Ireland when he was three years old.

His natural gift for writing appeared early (he is related to the Irish poet Austin Clarke). His first school report card when he was five had just one comment at the end: "Stewart writes very interesting stories."

He listened to his grandmother's tales of the Banshee in her kitchen and was enthralled and terrified. It was direct exposure to Ireland's Celtic storytelling tradition, and he got hooked. Stewart loves the folktales, traditions and superstitions of Ireland, the country that gave the world the festival of Halloween and Dracula author Bram Stoker. He went on to do an Irish Folklore course in University College Dublin. He also has qualifications in Theatre Studies, Criminology and Social Media for Business.

"The falling leaves drift by the window

The autumn leaves of red and gold

I see your lips, the summer kisses

The sun-burned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long

And soon I'll hear old winter's song

But I miss you most of all my darling

When autumn leaves start to fall."

~ Lyrics by Johnny Mercer and Jacques Prévert

This was originally a big coiled pile of rope that I spotted on a pallet at a construction site.

An artistic approach to the sum of three separate images manipulated to the max to achieve contrast without sacrificing realism.
