My first photo, and also my first upload to Flickr, of 2012. I'm usually slow on the shutter button when it comes to capturing moving objects (probably why I nearly always take pictures of static ones!), but I did successfully manage to capture my digital clock at the precise moment the New Year began. The time displayed is extremely accurate, as the clock receives a time signal by long wave radio from three atomic clocks maintained by the National Physical Laboratory at Anthorn, Cumbria, in north-west England. Happy New 2012!
