Lori Hammond is a digital artist who has worked as an animator and an instructor of animation and graphic design at the Walt Disney Animation Studios. I worked there briefly with her, but we both lost our jobs at the Academy in early 2009. We've stayed in touch since then, mostly through Facebook. The photo is a frame capture I took off a video screen of her experimental digital animation piece, called "Cloud Permutations." This was something she had worked on while still at the studio, using their equipment and software. It was by chance it was seen by someone at LACDA, and she was invited to have it as part of an exhibit of digital art and digital video and digital animation. I was there last night (June 11) for the opening, and she allowed me to get a few shots off her screen.
