This is a redux of this post

The idea was to have Kat do a SP to replace the painted figure. I gave her minimal direction, but she really made amazing figure that fit right in. this collaboration was wonderful to do.
When you start a project you never know where you'll end up
the script on this piece is as follows:
"One of uncle Arthur’s old glass autochromes from summer of 09. I remember being with him on this trek. He kept complaining about the weight of the camera and the glass plates. Several broke. This one taken not long after Long Roberts addition of the wild mushrooms to the mid day repast. Clearly they were not so benign as he kept insisting. But now I’m trying to understand… if it was just the bad mushrooms, then why the phantasmal manifestation upon the photographic plate? Uncle Arthur of course lost his lower jaw in WWI and became un-talkative after that experience. But when I used to show him the print he would stare intensely and often his eyes would tear up."
I took this image on a trip to nepal some 27 years ago. This is section of rice fields in the Katmandu valley. This was one of those days where no matter where I pointed the camera I got gold. It was like walking in a dream and it made me realize that there are some places on the earth where the light and geogrpahy conspire to create photographic wonderlands. Looking back I'm a bit amazed at how rare this is.
"Goloka is said to be the eternal abode of Krishna, the eighth incarnation of Vishnu according to some Vaishnava schools, including Gaudiya Vaishnavism. The Bhagavata Purana (Srimad Bhagavatam) describes Goloka as a highest planet or realm (loka) of the Vaikuntha planets for the devotees of Krishna who is known as the protector of cows and hence the latter are found in abundance in Goloka. Also sometimes referred to as Vrindavan, it is a land of plenty rich with natural beauty bearing a resemblance to Garden of Eden. In Goloka Krishna resides with Radharani, Krishna's eternal consort, and countless other devotees."
-from wikipedia. Found it when I googled 'paradise'
A collage of images layered upon an image taken in Umbria Italy. I took many images of the 'classic Italy' on this trip, but also found a few more quirky ones. The earth image and the figurative chess pieces are 3D renders. This one feels like faraway future to me.
The very first Digital Alchemy I ever did, 1996 maybe or 97. Still one of my Favorites. The entire composition is based on The Golden Mean. At the time I was going to do a series of 12 images, one for each month, but it never worked out that way, but you can still find vestiges of the scheme in my repertoire. There is Blue February and November Tropic for instance

A few years back a big section of land near my house was cleared for timber. I went to take pictures just after. After a while I ended up with this. A sort of Requiem for trees I think.

The Vizier of Lower Egypt, by Shai Delacroix for Casa del Shai, is a powerful man, appointed by the Pharaoh as his advisor and confidante. Philotes is the epitome of Ancient Egyptian nobility with this fine linen Schenti wrapped around his waist. His chest is ornamented with the Golden Scarab Pectoral Collar from Eye Candy. Three strands of carnelian and gold beads drape across the chest supporting a large winged scarab clutching a carnelian sun disk as a symbol of rebirth. This piece is the perfect choice for the man who wants to assure a memorable presence!
Philotes’ hair is Kamenwati by The Stringer Mausoleum. In the Egyptian language, Kamenwati means “Rebel Warrior”. Royal scarab tattoos adorn the version which Philotes wears today. His shape is Kahotep from Shapes by Kira and his skin is Ashan also by Shapes by Kira. His facial hair is Inorite’s Anubis Beard in Paint it Black. To shield his feet from the sun-scorched sand, he wears the Egyptian Men’s shoe by Kakaue Kreations.
Side Notes-The item from Eye Candy seems to have not been put on, if you want to see this item, look to the dj pictures, he was cool enough to buy it!

Terry looks lovely in this epoch spanning design from Draconic Kiss. It features a sashed bustle in the same lovely shade of turquoise as the ruched corset. The traditional Egyptian stenciled border on the skirt's pure white linen ground, above a golden hem, make this the perfect frock for a young Victorian lady to wear to an afternoon opening at her favorite Museum of Antiquities.
Gracing Terry’s neck is the Blue Lotus Necklace from Eye Candy. Rising from the Nile, a golden lotus is cradled in a two strand necklace of lapis and pyramid shaped beads. The piece is accented with larger lapis stones and a beaded tassel in the back.
Terry’s skin is Efe from PXL Creations. Her shape is Khait from Shapes by Kira. She finishes the outfit with the bejeweled Egyptian heels by Kakaue Kreations.
Side notes-My hair(they forgot to mention) and Cherelle's scarabs.

One of the first Digital Alchemy pieces I did. Certainly one of the first epic ones. probably around 1996 and so slow to work on with the machines of that year.
You cans see some verse running across the bottom of this piece. I typed it stream of consciouss in photoshop when I was just about finished. I think I had just read "on the road"
"You collect things, you hope they add up some day, laid out in a magical order of secret meaning. You lay them out for inspection, not by you but by the cosmos, a web of energy, possibility, incomprehensible meaning...raw interwoven alphabet of grace beyond reach, but bunched in it, and stars with orbits, each object radiates down to the abstractions which await as silent talisman, witness and focus of the interconnected nature of your psyche as it floats like a feather through the universe, you cherish this amalgam of pure moment, void of the blinding trivia..."

The Eternal Nefertari gown, by Shai Delacroix of Casa del Shai, was inspired by the Queen herself. Nefertari was the Chief Queen of Ramesses the Great. She was the symbol of everlasting life, love and beauty and depicted joyously in drawings with the Isis, the great mother goddess. One of the temples at Abu Simbel was built for her as well as the most magnificent tomb in the Valley of the Queens. She was illustrated in sheer white linen clothing as it was for all royalties during that dynasty.
Mavi wears The Eternal Nefertari in rust. Her skin is Nekhebet in Sahara by Wasabi Pills. Her shape is Kebi. Mavi’s hair is Cleo in black cherry by Inorite, ornamented with a coin tiara.

An image I'm still struggling with. After a bifurcation it wen't on to become Museum Dream, but I'm still tweaking this one too. Not sure where to go at this point.
Probably the first piece of this series that's feeling 'complete and finished.
(The Face is from a public fountain in Arles France. It is such and intense carving, its always amazed me that it was part of acceptable art society of its day. Or maybe it was controversial? It shows up from time to time in my work.)

Terry depicts the Egyptian Princess Mereret, of the 12th Dynasty, in this stunning gown by Ghanima Uriza of Blue Blood. Mereret is best remembered for her famous necklace with a cartouche celebrating the coronation of her brother, Amenemhat the Third. Ghanima has included with the outfit, a modern interpretation of traditional Egyptian Ankh and Sun symbols in jewels and gold, for a complete look. Terry is wearing the Cleo Gold Peacock skin from the oBscene with the Amisi shape from Shapes by Kira. Her hair is Last Cup of Coffee from Inorite.

Mavi perfectly depicts the legendary beauty of Queen Nefertiti in this gown by SySy. Draped over one shoulder and with plenty of accents to choose from, the Nefer Gown comes with optional Golden Bracelets, Neckcollar, Bellyjewel with aqua drapes and Armdrapes. This elegant white evening gown may be worn with or without the draperies, for a less Egyptian look. Accentuating the gown, Mavi wears the Nekhebet skin from Wasabi Pills in Sahara with the Kebi shape from Shapes by Kira. Her hair is the Cleo Bob in morphine and chocolate from Inorite. It is worn with a regal tiara. Covering her feet, you may see the spectacular Egyptian women’s boot with heel by Kakaue Kreations. With a click of the included HUD, these fierce boots depicting Anubis are converted to a graceful, bejeweled sandal.

To the Ancient Egyptians, the many-seeded pomegranate was a symbol of fertility and prosperity. The colorful fruit and flower of the pomegranate are the inspiration for this playful outfit by Sofia London of LurveBite. For us today, Terry wears the short skirt version of the dress. A long skirted version depicts the pomegranate’s bloom. The outfit comes complete with a bikini, handbag, two Sun Disc crowns, Hathor cow ears, a full set of jewelry, a pomegranate for your mouth and a giant pomegranate to carry.
Terry’s hair is the Cleo Bob in caramel from Inorite. Her skin is the oBscene’s Fire and she wears the Amisi shape from Shapes by Kira. Often called the Fruit of Love, share a pomegranate with your love this Valentine’s Day.
