Digestion is carried out internally and externally. Spiders secrete digestive fluids into their prey from a series of ducts in their chelicerae (fangs). These digestive fluids dissolve the prey's internal tissues, then the spider feeds by sucking the partially digested fluids out. Spiders consume only liquid foods. Many spiders will store prey temporarily. Web weaving spiders that make a shroud of silk to quiet their envenomed prey's death struggles (such as Redbacks) will generally leave them in these shrouds to be consumed at their leisure.
I can take or leave much of the commercialism of Christmas but the one thing that is so special to me is the main meal on Christmas Day which, just has to include roast turkey. I absolutely love cooking it together with all the trimmings. No expense is spared.
The table is laid, the meal is almost ready to serve so a quick grab shot to set the scene and get the digestive juices flowing.
This year my menu included:
Funghi allâaglio cremosi
Arrosto di tacchino al Medonte
Patate & Parsnips arrosto al Rosmarino
Selezione delle Verdure
Dolci di Natale con burro del Brandy
CaffĂš, Liquers & Mints

The human digestive system is a complex series of organs and glands that processes food and liquids. In order to use the food we eat, our body has to break the food down into smaller molecules that it can process; it also has to excrete waste.
Most of the digestive organs (like the stomach and intestines) are tube-like and contain the food as it makes its way through the body. The digestive system is essentially a long, twisting tube that runs from the mouth to the anus, plus a few other organs (like the liver and pancreas) that produce or store digestive chemicals.
