*CLOE, UN ANNO, 5 KG. PRENOTATA E DIMENTICATA PER UN MESE AL FREDDO CON
LA PROMESSA CHE SAREBBERO TORNATI AD ADOTTARLA. DOPO UN MESE CI HANNO
COMUNICATO CHE NON L'AVREBBERO PIù ADOTTATA...*
CLOE è piccola e indifesa, una cagnolina di soli 5 kg per un anno d'età.
Si è fatta notare subito perchè era la più piccola del canile e attirava
la nostra attenzione con i suoi occhioni scuri e dolcissimi.
Ci avevano detto che era prenotata, quindi non abbiamo mai proposto la
sua adozione, ma oggi non l'hanno ritirata, dopo un mese di attesa...
Così non abbiamo perso tempo e l'abbiamo tolta dal canile, portandola in
stallo da una volontaria, al caldo.
Cloe è una cagnolina dolce e mite, veramente buona. Va d'accordo con tutti.
Cerchiamo per lei una mamma e un papà con i fiocchi!

Qui mi nascondo, mentre ti aspetto e spero di vederti. L'orizzonte sembra più calmo di ieri e i colori meno abbaglianti. Ma ho paura, perchè non so cosa trovo se mi alzo ed esco dalle travi... mi vedo in queste acque senza riflesso e mi confondo nelle foglie marroni. Mimetizzarmi è il mio forte.... mi nascondo fino a sparire; nemmeno il tempo sa più cosa sono.
Ma domattina mi farò coraggio e uscirò da qui. Si. Domattina...
Arriva la mattina. Domattina è qui!
E arriva la sera. Il tramonto mi deteriora fino a quando non mi decido a riprendere forma.
E ti vedo, da lontano. E non mi stai aspettando.
Mi diffondo, ma è inutile ogni cosa.

Strobist info: 430EXii @ full with 1/2 CTO, camera left into 3x5' diffusion panel; 45" reflecting umbrella camera right for fill. Cybersync trigger.
Slight curve adjustment in photoshop, and the catchlight in the right (my left) eye is cloned from the other eye, with 40% transparency. Need a second cybersync!
Managed to pick up a 5'x6' piece of white nylon, roughly umbrella-weight, for just over $2 at a fabric store on Queen West this afternoon. I clamped it up in a doorway for this shot, hence the effective size in the info.
Plans afoot for a 3x5 diffusion panel, a 3x3 or 2x2 panel, and maybe a 3x3 softbox. Gotta love those bargain bins! It almost makes even me look good!
