Almost 1 year ago I found my first one of these Weevils from the Rhinotia genus and not much has changed.

I am blessed that it decided to sit still long enough for this portrait.

I am still on the receiving end of something weevil.

Added diffuse glow for more arty look.

Some lovely squill, this plant grows in abundance close to the ground at Normanby Country Park near to Scunthorpe, UK. Taking the photo close to the ground, in fact having the camera on the ground at the time renders plenty of diffused out of focus areas - even using a mid range aperture.

I really liked the light effect that this tree gave. The cooling mist was also very welcome as this was building into the hottest day we had on our trip. We eventually reached 104 degrees Fahrenheit!

A peek-a-boo view looking through the leaves at the lovely bloom. I'm drawn to the diffusion and out of focus effects.

The days are getting a bit longer and spring is around the corner thankfully. Many thanks for your warm and kind visits and comments my friends! 💖

Standing waiting for the light, I eventually decided to take this with the diffuse light. I think the soft lighting works well with the colours, maybe needs a bit more work on it, but I am pleased with this.

Brimms, Caithness, Scotland.

So much for a sunny Saturday forecast. A milky sky greets an empty Minntac limestone train north of Proctor as it nears the end of its overnight assignment. Still, clean 2119 provides some nice color to accent the maple trees.

During the stay in Ørnes I took this pano of the bay and the town. Temperature was five degrees Celsius and the weather was getting clear.

A view of daffodils soaking up the sun, with a bit of diffused light to plump them up...

Long shadows in the early evening at the old correctional facility. This was a weird combination of hazy sunlight blocked by dense foliage filtering through dirty windows.

Probbacher Waldsee in Hessen

Idyllically situated between Probbach and Winkels in the Faulbach valley is a small reservoir, the 2.5-hectare Waldsee with a storage capacity of around 80,000 cubic metres. Its dam is nine metres high and 160 metres long. Built in 1974 as part of the Probbach/Winkels land consolidation programme and subsidised by special funds from the federal government and the EEC, the lake was intended to contribute to the development of the lower Westerwald as a leisure and recreation area. Now that the municipality of Mengerskirchen has built modern sanitary facilities, a kiosk and a barbecue hut here, the forest lake offers excellent opportunities not only for swimming but also for fishing.

Toronto City Today

Friday, the last weekday to shop before the holidays.

There were three gun shootings by Police today.

A brokehn elevator. Stuck at the top. Nothing more, nothing less.

Did not stop me from getting to the top floor. Lights were fading with the sun. And gained intensity with the cars riding the streets of Montreux. Did not stop the stars either. They descended to pay me a quick visit, sneaking under the ceiling through my thoughts.

#Paying my dues to this beautiful and now abandoned place that rythmed my life during the last months.#

No inspiration today so a quick shot of the reed diffuser on top of the bookcase in the hallway.

On a side road off another side road, I saw this scene. I wasn't sure how to capture it or what to do with it. The morning light was a bit of inspiration, but the clouds diffused it to the point of slight shadows only.

I wanted a wide shot, and the widest I had was the 45mm. And I wanted something gritty, something dark to fit the mood. And Ilford FP4 (with a mind to developing it in Rodinal) came to mind.

I loaded and shot here for maybe thirty minutes.
