As Altbach (2001, pg 3) expresses, the publishing industry faces three core problems in making information available to the public. The first is the "physical contraints" - the costs and technology needed to run the business and produce something (which, before digital media, usually had to tangible). The "complexity of creative and scholarly networks" means the publishing industry's ongoing struggle to excavate and discover "new talent" and subject matter, connect and build relationships with clients and judge and sell content. Finally, "social conditions" have a significant impact on the publishing industry, as this directly affects the public's ability to access information. But according to Shirky, these difficulties, complexities and expenses have stopped being a problem, thus dismantling the publishing industry. In short, digital and networked media may have made a publishing industry redundant.

Josh B (son of my diving buddy) took up this local challenge with a leaping front spin to increase the degree of difficulty. He nailed the landing feet first. Go Josh!!
The photo treatment was inspired by 70's Polaroids when I did this kind of thing myself at the Canberra Olympic Pool to try and impress the girls (just not as well as Josh).

Tom has some difficulties / Fun Not going to the trailer, and just riding fast up and down the street.
The difficulties one encounters when using modern search services to inventory a common personal or place name, especially ones that might overlap a mediacentric figure or location whose modern incarnation has obliterated all other definitions, are numerous. In the case of one William O’Brien, a VERY common name, narrowing things down is a daunting task. O’Brien died in New York City, apparently, as He’s buried in Calvary. O’Brien is an odd spelling of a common hibernian nomen, and indicates a certain direction to look toward. Still, finding an Irishman who died in 1846 New York wouldn’t be easy. I kept looking, slavishly.

My camera's lens cover, clogged with dirt from the badlands, malfunctions and doesn't open all the way, resulting in a kind of artsy shot of Michelle getting set to ride Katy the horse.
