Senior Logan Miller analyzes the differences in the new modern Disney princesses from the older versions of the princesses in her W131 class on Jan. 26. The lesson was supposed to help define what a "Cinderella story" was. Miller was disappointed when strong princesses such as Mulan became more feminine and model-like. SARA YUNG / PHOTO
Some of my friends ask me why I always wear shorts and T-shirts, dark-washed jeans and flip sandals, not high-heeled shoes, not sequined blouses or dresses :"< well, because I love loose-fitting garment that makes me free all the time. Guys, do I lack sense of feminity inside...
Servite High School's 6th Annual Gala: Staging the Difference took place on Saturday, February 7 at the Anaheim Hilton. Thank you to the Gala co-chairs, the Gala committee, event sponsors and all those who attended the event. It was a night filled with dinner, dancing and lots of fun.
This NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image shows a spiral galaxy known as NGC 7331. First spotted by the prolific galaxy hunter William Herschel in 1784, NGC 7331 is located about 45 million light-years away in the constellation of Pegasus (The Winged Horse). Facing us partially edge-on, the galaxy showcases it’s beautiful arms which swirl like a whirlpool around its bright central region. Astronomers took this image using Hubble’s Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3), as they were observing an extraordinary exploding star — a supernova — which can still be faintly seen as a tiny red dot near the galaxy’s central yellow core. Named SN2014C, it rapidly evolved from a supernova containing very little Hydrogen to one that is Hydrogen-rich — in just one year. This rarely observed metamorphosis was luminous at high energies and provides unique insight into the poorly understood final phases of massive stars. NGC 7331 is similar in size, shape, and mass to the Milky Way. It also has a comparable star formation rate, hosts a similar number of stars, has a central supermassive black hole and comparable spiral arms. The primary difference between our galaxies is that NGC 7331 is an unbarred spiral galaxy — it lacks a “bar” of stars, gas and dust cutting through its nucleus, as we see in the Milky Way. Its central bulge also displays a quirky and unusual rotation pattern, spinning in the opposite direction to the galactic disc itself. By studying similar galaxies we hold a scientific mirror up to our own, allowing us to build a better understanding of our galactic environment which we cannot always observe, and of galactic behaviour and evolution as a whole.
Two East Lancs Esteem single deckers. One has a Scania N94UB chassis (bus on left) while the other has the newer Scania N230UB chassis (bus on right). As a result the rear of the buses are slightly different.

I can state for a fact that pink is definitely out of the box.
"Why pink?" you may ask. Because in life, difference is a blessing.
In chess, we have our differences, in the way we play, and the way we think. Usually the person that wins is the person who makes the different move.
In art, we aspire differences to gain our own style. Look at Picasso, his abstract art left a true mark on history.
Cooking, we acquire different tastes. As some of you may know, the contrast between flavors explicit a full taste.
Yet as we live, we all want one thing: To be important. To be important, you have to attempt something different to gain importance. That way, you'll be different from everyone else.
Pink is different.
HBW!
... a day makes.
A lunchtime walk around the "Bricky" today, and it seems to be paying off. If I can avoid snacking I can get my blood glucose down further - a new low today (4.9 Mmol/L) and I was still upright (just)!!
This is the same location as a picture i posted on Flickr earllier called Autumn tunnel i love the difference between them
I haven't done one of these in a while. Lets see how well you do. :o) There are 15 differences in the bottom shot. :o) Happy Spotting. :o)

Entry for a PhotoSoc comment and critique session with the theme 'Difference'
I'll be honest the link to the theme is a bit tenuous, but this was during exam time. The difference is of scale, the all encompassing skyline makes it easy to ignore the tiny bird on the right of the photo
Day 216 of 365 (Sunday - aka New Year's Day) - Today we travelled from my parents' home to my partner's home. Yesterday I was in the fens, at the Wildfowl and Wetlands trust, soaking in the views and enjoying the birds and countryside, and today we arrived in North London to tower blocks and a different way of life. I took some photos of swans yesterday, so was struck by these two in the garden today. I had as much fun photographing these two in different locations and at different angles as I did with the real thing yesterday. I love visiting all my family, and this just summed up that to me, about how people and places can be so different, but enjoyable each in their own right. I'm also so glad my children get to experience the contrasts too.
Happy new year to you all - I hope you enjoy the variety and wonders it brings!
"The origin of the existence of groups subordinate to groups, is the same with varieties as with species, namely, closeness of descent with various degrees of modification."
Silver Birch (Betula pendula). This species has a form called dalecarlica "Swedish Birch". The only visible difference is that dalecarlica has deeply cut leaves.

Hengebjørk (Betula pendula). Arten har en veldig lik form som heter ornæsbjørk (f. dalecarlica). Eneste forskjell er at bladene er flikete.
