Yes, well ... I took up my offer yesterday of a free coffee and cake - given by The Old Railway Line Garden Centre at Three Cocks, Wales. (A birthday offer as I hold a loyalty card with them.) My birthday being on 20 Jan - we are hoping to have the day out - so got this pitstop in to make sure it wasn't wasted!

This is the second cup of coffee as I managed to spill the first one all over the table when I sat down!! So Mr T had to go up and get another for which he paid .... I suppose there is no such thing as a "free lunch". Still - we enjoyed our break from the diet . The restaurant there is excellent and the food always of a high standard.

Back on the 5-2 diet today - a fasting day (still eating - just drastically reduced calories!)

“We’ve knocked off 6 studs each!”

Aspiring ninjas must adhere to a strict diet! At least if also being a turtle. Nothing wrong with this little guy's dedication at least!

Dietes iridioides, also known as the African iris, is a perennial flowering plant native to southern and eastern Africa. It is a member of the Iridaceae family and is closely related to the iris. The African iris typically grows to be 1-2 feet tall and features clumps of long, slender leaves that are sword-shaped and green in color. The plant produces a profusion of delicate, iris-like flowers on long, wiry stems that can be up to 3 feet tall. The flowers are white with yellow and violet markings, and each blossom lasts only for a day. Dietes iridioides is a hardy plant that can tolerate a range of growing conditions, from full sun to partial shade and a variety of soil types. It is also drought-tolerant and requires very little maintenance once established. The African iris is a popular choice for garden borders and as a container plant. Its delicate flowers and long blooming season make it an attractive addition to any garden. Additionally, the plant is easy to propagate through division, making it a great choice for gardeners looking to expand their plant collection.

Breaking your diet? I know I do!

An apple a day keep's the doctor away! Of course, fruit and vegetables are great for a nice healthy diet but it really is surprising that one little apple has the equivalent of 10 grams of sugar, within!! That equates to 3 and bit sugar lumps!!

A balanced diet is something we should all try to have and the less sugar the better!!
