Dietes bicolor (també conegut com a iris africà o lliri de quinze dies) és una planta nativa de Sud-àfrica, perenne rizomatosa amb llargues fulles de color verd pàl·lid amb forma d'espasa, que creixen a partir de múltiples ventalls a la base del grup. Aquesta espècie pertany a la família Iridaceae (iris). Pot formar grans grups si no se'l pertorba durant anys. Aquesta espècie és comuna a l'horticultura a Sud-àfrica, on es fa servir sovint en jardins públics, en l'embelliment de locals comercials i en carreteres.
Les flors són grogues amb tres taques morades fosques, cadascuna envoltada per un contorn ataronjat, i són seguides per una càpsula que pot doblegar les tiges de les flors fins a terra. Les llavors madures (de color marró fosc) es dispersen quan la càpsula s'asseca i es divideix.

So it's not like I didn't know that Diet Coke was horrible for you but I still continued to drink it. Around 6-8 a day for about 10 years. That's A LOT of Diet Coke.
I recently decided to try and cut back. I though that getting down to 1 or 2 a day would be perfectly fine and then my boyfriend told me all of this really disturbing stuff about it that I never knew. I mean I knew it was bad but I had no idea it was THAT bad. So no more!
Goodbye old friend, though you are horrible for me, I will sadly still miss you!
Oh and apparently it actually makes you GAIN weight, so keep that in mind for those who drink it for the zero calories.
Here are a few shots from an impromptu photo shoot for Art-Rock band Diet Kong. Their set at Pianos was delayed a bit so I grabbed my camera an put Keith and Alan in front of the lens. Considering I had 10 minutes and the crappy pop-up flash, these turned out well.

This plant is occasionally called the "Fairy Iris" because the fragile white petals not only look like fairy wings, but also have a tendency to disappear mysteriously overnight!
