One of my suit mates, Brandon, is a numismatist, which apparently means that he collects coins. He has hundred of coins in his collection and always carries around a special half dollar his grandfather left him before he passed on. Today he asked me if I could get a closeup of this penny he suspected to be a double die. This means that it was struck twice and will have a 'stereo punched' effect. Since I don't have a macro lens I went to my backup solution. I put my 75-300 on and focused it to ~105mm, then I put my 50mmƒ1.4 and focused it to infinity. Once that was lined up I put the penny in the front and moved it back and forth to find a good focus on the subject. The depth of field was something like 1-2mm with this setup. I used live view-remote shooting to get a razor sharp image. here are some links that are related that you may find interesting.

Face made an interesting choice of shirts as well as he sports one of our newest tees. A nice small subtle almost whisper of a print delivers this dire warning. "Did you hear? we are all going to die"
Good times! Well, we Mixed Species guys have known this little fact for a while and live our lives to the fullest. You should too. Plus it's fun to freak the people out who take the time to read the small print on your shirt!

Die Utopiemaschine ist wunderbar wandelbar und steckt voller Geheimnisse. Sie ist mit dabei, wenn Menschen Ideen spinnen wollen. Sie knüpft unsichtbare Fäden, steckt voller Kreativität und Krempel, damit Leipziger*innen und Teilnehmer*innen der Konferenz ihre Traumstadt mit allen Sinnen künstlerisch-kreativ entstehen lassen können. Ihr könnt z.B. Utopiestadtpläne malen oder mit Ton gestalten, Utopiesongs machen, euch neue Pässe drucken, Utopien am Telefon austauschen – lasst euch überraschen.
