Die Überseehäfen in Bremerhaven sind stolze 2,5 Millionen Quadratmeter groß, das entspricht einer Fläche von 350 Fußballfeldern. Hier arbeiten rund 7.500 Mitarbeiter die jährlich im zweitgrößten Autohafen Europas 1,6 Millionen Autos aus aller Welt umschlagen.
Von außen zeichnet sich diese Schiffe für den Autotransport durch eine klobige Form aus. Im Laderaum sind die Decks nur sehr niedrig ist, um eine möglichst große Anzahl von Fahrzeugen laden zu können.
Die Kapazität der für den Überseedienst gebauten Schiffe beträgt weit über 6000 Fahrzeuge.
Updated version of something I've been meaning to get back to for a couple of weeks. Original is here; as this was a cha-cha outdoors on a breezy day, there were a few misplaced background elements creating rivalry between the shots. Some cloning and blurring has hopefully improved the pair.
These pictures were taken in the Pentax Q7 miniature camera's blur-control mode, which combines multiple exposures to produce a shallower depth of field than would otherwise be possible for the small sensor. The process is sometimes called "reverse focus stacking" and is usually done with multiple layers in an image editor, but in this case it is implemented in firmware.

Op 5 oktober vond het LOF-festival plaats bij ROC Midden Nederland in Amersfoort. Tijdens de Dag van de Leraar vierden we dat er zóveel leraren zijn die pionieren. Het delen van kennis en uitwisselen van ervaringen stond centraal. Het festival was dé ontmoetingsplaats voor vernieuwers. Leraren die op dit moment een LOF-traject volgen, hadden hun LOF-lab. Daarnaast deelden huidige deelnemers én ex-deelnemers (LOF en Onderwijs Pioniers) opbrengsten van hun initiatieven met andere geïnteresseerde leraren. Dit deden zij in workshops, lezingen en aan dialoogtafels. Nu blikken we terug.

Sooooo, this was one of the first illustrations I did for the year. I loved this Dior piece as it reminded me of the 'New Look' of 1947, but I decided to shelve it after the whole scandal... Recently, I stumbled upon it again, and fell in love with it once more.....So here it is: The 12th look from the Dior SS Couture collection.....
DIE VERDAMMTE SPIELEREI
Op welke manier kunnen we de New Orleans jazz meer eer aandoen dan met een aantal marching bands. Wij brengen u dan ook met veel plezier Broken Brass Ensemble en Die Verdammte Spielerei, beiden marcherende blazersensembles, zij het elk met een wel heel persoonlijke twist.
Vier saxofoonspelers, een percussionist en een van een megafoon voorziene, euh, ‘onnozelaar’ vormen samen Die Verdammte Spielerei, een ensemble dat topmuziek combineert met volksverlakkerij. De klassieke fanfare kennen de mensen van binnen en van buiten, elke zichzelf respecterende parochie heeft nu eenmaal een koninklijke harmonie of fanfare. Die Verdammte Spielerei neemt een loopje met deze ‘Vlaamsche‘ realiteit. De tamboer-majoor ruilde het vaandel voor de megafoon en de muzikanten hun das voor een marcelleken. De doorzopen grijsaards van de fanfare maken plaats voor 6 dronken adonissen met kathedralen van lichamen, spitsbogen en rondbuiken die een soort transcendente muzikale humor brengen. Noem het gerust een nieuwe ‘fanfare van honger en dorst’.

An den VODUN DAYS in Ouidah Benin sind wohl die Abwesenden die wichtigsten Anwesenden. Die Anhänger des KANBADA VODUN lassen sich von den Geistern leiten, sie bewegen sich wunderbar gelöst in Trance, pausieren mit grossem Ernst, und lassen sich erneut mitnehmen, im „Forêt sacrée“, drei Tage lang von früh bis spät.
