Jane's request:
"You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me."

When I was around 7 years old, I told my mom my life sucked because we had no fun books to read at home.
Saying that in my mother's house is the equivalent of caressing hairless Abercrombie bodies and saying you don't think they are smooth enough.
Somebody's gonna end up in tears and it'll probably be you.
My mother slapped a dictionary onto my lap and said: "Read this. Combine the words as you will and you'll have read all the books in the world. Even the fun ones."
With my arms crossed and the huge book wedged between my knees, I scowled at her bitterly every time she passed by.
And then nighttime came.
Inside my bed, with my small flashlight, I fell forever in love with dictionaries.
