Shot with D90 using DSLR waterproof case.

Thanks a lot to Iju (http://www.flickr.com/photos/notsogoodphotography/) for lending me his camera and larger dicapac :D

my beloved nikon d810 got a bit of water damage. Hopefully...we shall see what the Nikon repair say. So I used my Fuji xt10 with my dicapac bag.

model: Karsin.

Inspired by the Little Mermaid.

taken with a Nikon D60 and a DiCAPac (:

my first attempt at shooting underwater.

Out of focus, boring and not close enough. Mediocre. Need more practice.

First try taking surf photos from the water. Used the DiCaPac underwater casing and the Pentax Optio M30. Its autofocus is way too slow. Got within inches of a surfboard only to have missed the shot. I'm going to try using my old Coolpix 3700 next time. It lets light in way too low and the screen is tiny, and its 3MP, but its "sports" function takes photos lighting fast. Better to take it than miss it eh?

I also think I should have worn goggles instead of a mask.

PS: this is the most exhilarating thing ever.

I know, this is a little weird.

I bought an underwater housing for my DSLR!

And it works!!!!

After opening our pool, I was dying to take underwater pictures. I started becoming so desperate that I attempted to use a big ziplock bag to store my camera in. DON'T do that. I finally broke down and bought a Camera housing for my D200 and D700 ( I will never risk going underwater with the D700). After testing it out, I shoved my d200 with my Sigma 10-20mm in it and whalah! Now I am just waiting for our pool to turn crystal clear. It has been really foggy since the major flooding last week.

This is my favourite image taken in the pool the other night. Before the shoot this was one of the concepts I had in mind and I managed to achieve it. I wanted to capture the bubbles from the swimmer nose as he pushed off.

Headed over to Rottnest Island off the coast of Perth over the weekend as the weather was perfect for a bit of underwater photography and all the other mischief you get up to on the island. I rode a bicycle the whole way around (about 20kms) and went to just about every bay.........so I have no idea which bay this one is :-)

Photo of nurse shark in Compass Cay, Bahamas. I used DiCAPac WP‑S10 case to take this photo, which I think worked okay for this purpose (under 10ft of water and not submerged under water the entire time).

2010 GUAM ARCHIVES

I had alot of fun in the water backintheday! =)

Essai de ma poche Dicapac pour canon g10.

Test my pocket Dicapac for canon g10.

This is my first test of underwater photography! It was very hard, I used a Dicapac (litteraly a bag in which you put your camera) and it's really not the best way for an underwater shoot! But I'm very happy for this first try :) Thanks Marjorie, one of my best friend for her patience and her posing skills in the water ;) And thanks Mélissa for letting me use her swimming pool! (what would I be without my friends?!)

Another one from the swimming shoot I did the other night. I was lucky enough to get in after hours with some mates to experiment with my lights underwater. This is one of the results.

One of the most memorable swims I had at Shark's Cove was with a juvenile sea turtle, who while fighting the waves and current, would eat mossy seaweed attached to large lava rocks.

As the waves came crashing in, both myself and the turtle would swim against the surge, and in this photo I caught the turtle just right with the bubbles of the wave and light from above. It looks to me as if the turtle is about to hit warp speed!

I've never seen anything so beautiful. Kind of like Ula, beautiful, but can snap you in half if she wants to.
