Went swimming with some friends this morning.
The reason for the lack of updates is that I've been using a film SLR with B&W film these past few weeks. YAY! Results should be here next week. Have a few more shots to finish the roll.

Shot from the water using the Pentax Optio M30. Used Pan-focus and the sun was on my side today so got a few good shots =)
Second day of shooting from the water. I've learned from mistakes and I think I'm improving. Discarded the fins and snorkel and only wore a mask. Also used the old Coolpix instead of the Pentax. Was a really cloudy day so didn't get a lot of good shots but I'm getting there =)
Clopp sneaking up on some fish. Not sure what the its name is. This lil guy was on the peak of the umm hmm. What on earth are they called. That

This photo made a double page spread in Outdoor Japan magazine (Although Rota is not in Japan, its actually part of the US. Located between Guam and Saipan)
And I shot this with my Canon G9!
The lovely Teteto beach, Rota Island. So many beautiful fish swim around you while playing in the clear waters. Its a magic place!

I was doing the underwater shoot (from the previous photo) and my merman took this photo of me while my other model got ready.
I'm hoping to do another underwater shoot soon with the girl who made the mermaidtails! Very excited about it!

This is my first test of underwater photography! It was very hard, I used a Dicapac (litteraly a bag in which you put your camera) and it's really not the best way for an underwater shoot! But I'm very happy for this first try :) Thanks Marjorie, one of my best friend for her patience and her posing skills in the water ;) And thanks Mélissa for letting me use her swimming pool! (what would I be without my friends?!)

Snorkeling with the D300 was a scary experience, but I really like how some of the photos came out as opposed to the Canon P&S. This is one of them - with the little ocean bokeh bubbles in the background of some happy fish swimming along.
Sorry for the lack of updates! Back to the real world, and I've been tied down at work.

In back of the Governor's Complex in Adelup. On my lunchbreak I took my watersealed dicapac to do some underwater shooting. I just realized how great it was to work right by the ocean and be able to play in the water during my breaks. 😁
