An old shot, maybe someone has already seen it. It's taken in Sarajevo in the courtyard of the great mosque.
The devotion of a parent to a child is truly amazing. I had an awesome chance to observe this devotion many times over during the holiday season. And reflecting on this, I don't think I'll ever come close to giving back everything my parents have sacrificed for me - but I can certainly try!
And - my first photo with my Nikon D80. :)

Yesterday I went with a group of bug-seeking friends to Arivaipa Canyon in Gila Co, Arizona. We found a big Gopher Snake sunning himself on the pavement. We stopped to move him away from the road and also to take pictures. He seemed to either want his portrait taken or seek the shade of one of the photographers. Suddenly several feet of his length disappeared - up the photographer's trouser leg! Here you see the photographer pulling the snake out - he swears he didn't feel the assault

I have only recently become aware of an apparent long time practice of couples expressing there devotion to each other by locking a lock or pair of locks to some permanent object like this bridge railing on the Harmar rail and foot bridge. This has become a pretty popular practice here with scores of these locks on the railing of the bridge. Here are just a few samples.
Proof that although devotion may never fade it apparently does become a little rusty with time LOL.

Our last day here at the Worldmark Las Vegas resort. We were putting our stuff in the security for now since we wanted to visit the strip one last time. We were here in Las Vegas, NV for our family holiday vacation get-together. It was our last day here this day. (Saturday early afternoon, December 28, 2013)
**Summary of our holiday vacation from December 24-28, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV:
-[Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013]: Arrival to Vegas/gathered all together with the family at the Worldmark Las Vegas resort.
-[Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013]: Had our Christmas Day devotion/lesson/service, went to see the Las Vegas welcome sign, then went to Downtown Las Vegas/ Fremont Street Experience. Ended the night with a dinner at the Golden Nugget.
-[Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013]: Went in the Crystals and then walked thru the hotels around the strip including Monte Carlo, Bellagio and Caesars Palace. We also saw the Bellagio fountains as it got dark out. We ended the day by watching the "O" Cirque Du Soleil show.
-[Friday, Dec. 27, 2013]: Went to the Luxor hotel, then went walking down the strip, going thru the hotels up to the MGM. We had later split up and did our own thing. Me, my parents and Auntie and Uncle Bello ate at the Le Village Buffet at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
-[Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013]: Our last day here and packed up and left the Worldmark Las Vegas resort (some of us left to head home and did our separate things) and for us that's left, we did last minute looking around at the Aria Resort & Casino. We ate our late lunch at the buffet there. We then went to the airport and it concluded our vacation...
