Invader Rubikcubist is a solo exhibition by Invader entirely devoted to Rubikcubism. The term, which the artist invented in 2005, refers to his studio work around the Rubik's cube, the famous coloured puzzle with which he creates paintings and sculptures.
The exhibition at MIMA reveals more than a hundred works presented on the 4 floors of the museum and allows us to apprehend the richness of the themes tackled by the artist with nearly 20 years of creations in cubes.

I have been to Jerusalem in May 2009 for the purpose of a scientific historical research that was devoted to international politics in the Middle East. After spending a month in Jerusalem, visiting archives and a library, historical places and strolling along the streets, I got acquainted with the unique atmosphere of this ancient city. Jerusalem is a city of three world religions, a city where everything seems familiar and native, it is very cozy and benevolent. For those who are familiar with biblical stories, the city seems to be an animated historical book, the city of kings and prophets, a city that has gone through history and conquered time itself. Jerusalem is situated on the hills, in the beginning of May the weather turned out to be quite cool, a strong spring wind blew from the desert, but then the hot Middle Eastern weather was established. The heat in Jerusalem is not like one in the plains or on the coast of the country, here it gets dark very early, which is unusual for the summer months in Russia. I lived in a small hotel in the center of the city and got the opportunity to go for a walk on the historical center and the Old City. The streets of the city are full of visitors and tourists from all over the world, many languages are heard here. Quiet and benevolent atmosphere. This city has a special soul. This is exactly the impression that Jerusalem made on me.
Living in Jerusalem, I visited other places in Israel: Galilee and the Mediterranean coast.

Sono stato a Gerusalemme nel maggio 2009 per lo scopo di una ricerca storica scientifica dedicata alla politica internazionale in Medio Oriente. Dopo aver trascorso un mese a Gerusalemme, visitando archivi e la biblioteca, luoghi storici, solamente passeggiando per le vie di Gerusalemme, ho conosciuto l'atmosfera unica di questa antica città. Gerusalemme è una città di tre religioni del mondo più diffuse, una città dove tutto sembra familiare e “nativo”, è molto accogliente e benevolo. Per chi ha familiarità con le storie bibliche, la città sembra essere un libro storico animato, la città dei re e dei profeti, una città che ha passato attraverso la storia e ha conquistato il tempo stesso. Gerusalemme è situata sulle colline, all'inizio di maggio il tempo si è rivelato piuttosto fresco, un forte vento primaverile ha soffiato dal deserto, ma poi è stato stabilito il caldo di Medio Oriente. Il caldo a Gerusalemme non è come quello nelle pianure o sulla costa del paese, in Israele fa buio molto presto, una cosa insolita per i mesi estivi in Russia. Ho vissuto in un piccolo hotel nel centro della città e ho avuto l'opportunità di fare molte passeggiate nel centro storico e nella Città Vecchia di Gerusalemme. Le strade della città sono piene di visitatori e turisti da tutto il mondo, qui si parlano molte lingue. Atmosfera tranquilla e benevola. Questa città ha un'anima speciale. Questa è una buonissima impressione che Gerusalemme ha lasciato su di me.

Camera used: Nikon F3 HP with a 50 mm & 35mm lens.
Film : Ilford HP5+ (ISO 400 pulled to 200)
Developer : FOMADON R09 (Rodinal) with Stand Development processing
HOYA ND4 filter + Tripod
As you can see, some of my pictures are not as sharp as they shoud have been. I simply didn't have a shutter release cable.
Plus, in some of the pictures, the crowd seems to have disappeared.The reason is that I chose a too long shutter speed. So in order to avoid that, I suggest you to use a shutter speed around 4sec (2 minimum-10sec max) to capture the crowd. Of course it depends on many parameters (density of the crowd, speed at which they are moving, light condition, etc). Long Exposure Photography requires a lot of practice to master it.
The more you shoot, the more you learn, better the results are.
So keep shooting :)
And yeah, if you want to shoot in the Subway of Paris (or whatever subway on France), better ask an authorization if you don't want to be expelled, or avoid to stay in a same spot too long. Of course and it makes sens, avoid to impede the circulation especially if you are in a tight space and if you are using a big tripod.

Tellus was founded as the Weinman Mineral Museum in 1983, which closed in 2007 and reopened as Tellus Science Museum in 2009. The museum retains the original mineral displays in the Weinman Mineral Gallery.

Before the first English colonists set sail for Jamestowne on 1607, Spanish settlers arrived in northern New Mexico bringing their heritage and culture to this new world -- traditions that still exist today. Devoted to the Saints looks closely at the history, role and inspirational value of the Santos, or little saints, carved from wood and revered through the ages.

For two years solid I have devoted myself 24/7/365 to the task of appreciating every beautiful living thing. I have lived with the sun, the moon, the stars and the sky above. I have sought the company of the birds, the butterfies, the manatees and the dolphins.
For two years solid I have sought to live at peace with all things. Needless to say, I could not live either as a capitalist or as a consumer or as a patriot. I sought to live at peace with all things and encouraged everyone else -- in vain -- to do the same.
For two years I watched the sunrise and the sunset, the moonrise and the moonset, and the planets move across the sky.
For two years I watched the tides rise and fall, I immersed myself in the heat of summer and the intense cold of winter (and it was an extremely cold winter).
For two years I walked under the sunshine and in the heavy downpours. No sort of weather could ever intimidate me.
For two years I visited every community in Pinellas county. I never have had any reason to fear humankind just as I have never had any reason to fear any animal. The humans that I met all were kind and there was no distinction to be made between humans based upon their accidental characteristics.
For two years I have waited for this civilization to collapse and it has survived for much longer than expected. It might survive for a while longer but it also could end at any moment.
For two years I have watched humans continue to destroy the Earth and this self-destructive work continues to its ultimate end, the extinction of humankind.
But this Earth remains the most beautiful planet in the Universe and it is and shall always remain more beautiful than Heaven. There is one and only one flaw on the Earth and its name is humankind.

Beginning on 8 March, 2024, the auspicious day devoted to Lord Shiva, Maha-Shivaratri, was celebrated at the Shree Peetha Nilaya ashram with Paramahamsa Sri Vishwananda and over 1200+ participants. (Despite the challenge of sudden airline cancellations and rail strikes, they persevered and made it in time!)
A full day and night of activities began with the customary outside abhishekam to Hari Bhakta Poorna Shiva in the morning, and a lecture followed in the afternoon. In the evening, the main worship ceremonies consisted of four main abhishekams, which, Guruji explained in His satsang, represented the different aspects of Shiva associated with Vrindavan. Everyone was eligible to offer water for each of these four abhishekams, spaced throughout the night into the morning of the next day, and an energetic seva team organised and gave prasad to everyone after each abhishekam. The entire event was filled with vibrant kirtan to Shiva as well as to Krishna, the One on whom Lord Shiva meditates, and, despite staying up all night, the musicians, singers, and entire crowd kept the temple rocking. The final arati concluded the event after 6 am, after which vibhuti (holy ash) was distributed to everyone.

"The statuary of the north transept portals is devoted to the Old Testament, and the events leading up to the birth of Christ, with particular emphasis on the Virgin Mary. The glorification of Mary in the center, the incarnation of her son on the left and Old Testament prefigurations and prophecies on the right. One major exception to this scheme is the presence of large statues of St Modesta (a local martyr) and St Potentian on the north west corner of the porch, close to a small doorway where pilgrims visiting the crypt (where their relics were stored) would once have emerged."

Mostly constructed between 1194 and 1220, it stands at the site of at least five cathedrals that have occupied the site since the Diocese of Chartres was formed as an episcopal see in the 4th century. It is in the High Gothic and Romanesque styles.

The building's exterior is dominated by heavy flying buttresses which allowed the architects to increase the window size significantly, while the west end is dominated by two contrasting spires – a 105-metre (349 ft) plain pyramid completed around 1160 and a 113-metre (377 ft) early 16th-century Flamboyant spire on top of an older tower. Equally notable are the three great façades, each adorned with hundreds of sculpted figures illustrating key theological themes and narratives.

A Vaishnav usually apply tilak using sandalwood in 2 vertical lines, which connect near the bridge of the nose to form a U shape called urdhva pundra where U is commonly seen as the footprint of Vishnu. I shot her face from a distance when she started looking for people she would smear the symbol on…& then she found me 😊

Saturday was devoted to touring distilleries, tracing a bourbon trail that several readers had enthusiastically endorsed. The first was Heaven Hill Distilleries Bourbon Heritage Center (1311 Gilkey Run Road, 502-337-1000, www.bourbonheritagecenter.com), which offers free tours of a seven-story warehouse, where rack upon rack of barrels perfume the air with a luscious scent known as the “angels’ share.” The highlight, of course, was the tasting, held in a domed, light-filled room.
