This is a personal project to experiment with rebranding a global company.
Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd. has been the world's largest information technology company by revenues since 2009. They have long been a major manufacturer of electronic components such as lithium-ion batteries, semiconductors, chips, flash memory and hard drive devices for clients such as Apple, Sony, HTC and Nokia. In recent years, the company has diversified into consumer electronics and is the world's largest manufacturer of mobile phones.
I have deigned Samsung's new logo to move their branding into the new 'wireless' age of technology. Many branches of their traditional product portfolio rely on internet/WiFi connections (i.e. computers and smart phones). However, as we move forward, other household goods are becoming more intelligent and reliant on WiFi technology. This results in the strengthening human's relationship with the wireless world.
The new logo softens the typeface and a symbol has been added to increase branding versatility. The symbol can be used with typography or autonomously. The merged 'U' and 'N' introduces a unique appearance to formal sans serif type
Alison Kadlec (center) recently spoke with PCC faculty and staff, including Title III Grant Director Tabitha Miller (left) and President G. Dennis Massey, about creating a healthy culture for data use and engagement. Her four presentations, which took place Nov. 15-16, were sponsored by PCC's Title III Grant and Office of Teaching and Learning. They focused on what builds and kills morale when it comes to sustained, large-scale student success work. A former faculty member, Kadlec and her team at Sova Solutions work with the U.S. Department of Education, state policymakers, and educational system leaders in more than 25 states to help improve the quality of policy development and implementation with regard to higher education and workforce development.

On walks in this area, one is constantly disconcerted by the number of houses in a state of flux. Elegant, historic houses are dwarfed by their neighbour's unsightly building works, and the peace disturbed by the noise and bustle of workmen going about their trades.

September 27, 2022 - Manhasset — Governor Kathy Hochul, joined by Northwell Health President and CEO, Michael Dowling, Empire State Development Corporation President Hope Knight, and elected officials today announces Governor Kathy Hochul the $350 million Long Island Investment Fund awarded its first grant to the The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research to construct 40,000 square feet of new state-of-the-art labs to support medical and infectious disease research. The $10 million Long Island Investment Fund grant complements an additional $30 million in State support previously awarded to the Feinstein Institutes to modernize 20,000 square feet of its Institute of Bioelectronic Medicine, which Governor Hochul opened today. New York State's assistance is part of an $85 million modernization effort at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research in Manhasset, Nassau County, and a broader initiative to highlight the growing life science industry on Long Island. The Feinstein Institutes is the research arm of Northwell Health and is one of the leading laboratory and research centers in the country, conducting cutting-edge studies that seek to cure diseases.. I took this at Cuyamaca College at their Child Development Center on campus. They have developed the center into a Reggio Emilio center. I loved it!
These structures seem to be abandoned development on Bribie island as you enter Pacific harbour. Absolutely fascinating. The white on these 'structures is actually styrofoam type material, perhaps used for insulation in the process of the building of them. It was not easy to get these as I had to take photos through a fence that runs around it.
