Large golfing umbrella featuring the Livingston Development Corporation logo and the slogan 'Make it in Livingston'.
Livingston was one of the ‘new towns’ created after WWII to relieve the need for housing in urban areas. Livingston Development Corporation (LDC) was set up by the New Town (Livingston) (Development Corporation) Order 1962 to create and co-ordinate new industrial activity in West Lothian and to manage the population over-spill from Glasgow by providing new homes and employment. LDC wound up in1997, when its functions were transferred to West Lothian Council.

On the 12th of September on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks the Polish Institute of International Affairs organized a seminar under the title 9/11 TEN YEARS ON: Past Experiences and Future Challenges Different Perspectives on Countering Terrorism in the 21st Century.
The event was opened by the director of the Polish Institute of International Affairs Dr. Marcin Zaborowski who spoke about the fundamental changes in security policy following September 11 and the new types of threats that the world is facing today. In the keynote speech delivered by His Excellency Lee Feinstein, Ambassador of the United States to Poland the role of international cooperation in the fight against terrorism was addressed with a stress on the tasks and challenges of the American society in this respect.
Guest speakers Ryszard Machnikowski from the University of Łódź, Marcin Piotrowski Senior Analyst at PISM and Martina Strong Political-Economic Counselor at the United States Embassy in Poland shared their views on the achievements and failures of countering terrorism during the past ten years. Marcin Piotrowski presented the Asian perspective explaining the significant role South-Asia plays in the activity of al-Qaeda. Martina Strong outlined the three dimensions of the American war on terrorism: military, ideological and that of broad international cooperation, pointing also to the lessons of the American experience in the interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Presenting the European perspective on the topic Ryszard Machnikowski emphasized the significance of the global character of the fight against terrorism and the implications of technological development on it.
In the last part of the seminar the floor was opened for the audience. During the several rounds of questions addressed to the guest speakers various issues were touched, for instance the financial aspect of anti-terrorism in the shadow of the global economic crisis, the consequences of the Norwegian terrorist attack for the future of global terrorism and Poland as a potential target of terrorist activities during the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship.

Story Points & Foreseeable Project Velocity
We plan and estimate capacity according to story points. Tales are small units that describe an element from the user perspective. software development company assign values to every story utilizing a points system that measures its complexity the greater complex the storyline is, the greater story points it's given.
A03A0951
Squad capacity can also be defined in story points. Quite simply, we all know a squad has no more than, for instance, 25 story points per sprint. This judgement is dependant on yesteryear projects we’ve done which have permitted us to find out a regular quantity of story points we’ve had the ability to cope with in sprints from prior projects. This technique enables us to more precisely estimate time it will require to accomplish work and keep project velocity.
Quality Assurance
Quality assurance serves the straightforward purpose of keeping bugs from the final product. QA at Clearbridge is integrated with development through the project lifecycle, which will help reduce delays and bottlenecks and helps to ensure that defects are remedied because they are discovered.
We use a mix of testing practices including mix-developer verification (code reviews and unit testing) and also have a dedicated product team that handles client verification. Furthermore, software development company make use of a continuous integration system that compiles projects, checks for errors, and distributes the application towards the product team for testing.
Delivery
Once the application is able to be printed, we handle the submission tactic to the right application stores. For iOS particularly, it is really an important yet overlooked phase that lots of don’t look into project timelines, but certainly should. If done incorrectly, getting your application recognized towards the Application Store can require per week, in some instances longer when the submission is rejected.

At Clearbridge, there exists a product release manager that assembles all of the assets, optimizes your application listing, and completes the submission process based on the guidelines from the application store being posted to.
Ultimately, searching at the mobile project past the scope of development is essential to making a much better, more effective product. While from the technical and style perspective, it must be seem, software development company also wise to require a corresponding mobile strategy, a obvious value proposition, an awareness of the users, along with a process for testing and delivery. Using this holistic approach is what is the main difference between failure and success within the highly competitive application ecosystem.

Karen Gustafsson is a Dean’s Honored Graduate in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences. Karen is graduating with departmental honors in Human Development and Family Sciences, and is being recognized for her research described in her undergraduate thesis, “Men’s Sexual Behaviors Predict Cortisol Responses to a Passionate Love Prime,” performed under the supervision of Professor Timothy Loving.
Karen’s thesis explored the physiological and psychological consequences of falling in love. Physiologically, falling in love is associated with higher chronic and acute levels of cortisol, one of the body’s primary stress hormones. These higher levels of cortisol may be indicative of euphoric stress, a nonspecific stress reaction that occurs in response to a positive situation. Psychologically, falling in love is closely associated with sexual desire. Writes Professor Loving, “Karen reasoned that because men tend to equate love with physical intimacy, that they would show strong signs of physiological arousal (i.e., cortisol reactivity) when asked to reflect on falling in love with their current partners…to the extent that they engage in physical intimacy with their partners…As a result, the work has important implications for how love and sexual desire are associated with arousal in men, but not women. Moreover, to this point most of the research on passion, or falling in love, had relied on female samples… Importantly, Karen independently developed the hypotheses for the study.”
Throughout her undergraduate career, Karen has shown the independent drive to do original inquiry and research. Writes Professor Loving, who taught Karen in a large introductory course, “Karen approached me late in the spring 2009 about volunteering in my lab. Normally, I’m very hesitant to take volunteers, particularly those without any research experience, but something about Karen’s drive and passion convinced me to take a chance.”
Karen worked for a year with Professor Loving and Professor David Buss, learning the skills of interacting with study participants as well as collecting, transcribing, and coding data. As Professor Loving describes, “I had no hesitations when Karen asked if I would serve as her honors thesis supervisor beginning the spring 2011 semester. She had some loose ideas about what she wanted to research, so I gave her several articles to read over a weekend, thinking that they might spur a few concrete ideas. Sure enough, she e-mailed me on Monday morning to set up a time to meet – her e-mail included a brief literature review and a theoretically derived hypothesis that built off of two separate lines of research!”
An accomplished classical and bluegrass violinist, Karen will be recording an instrumental album in Sweden this summer. In the coming year, she will be teaching in New Delhi, India, at the Bhatti Mines School through the support of the Austin-based Amala Foundation. In the following year, she hopes to apply to PhD programs in either Human Development and Family Sciences or Clinical Psychology.
The temple, or Roman sanctuary, above Terracina dates back to the fourth century BC, though much of the development belongs to the first and second centuries BC. The complex is large and spectacularly-situated, dominating the shoreline and sea. The sanctuary has long been assumed to have been dedicated to Jupiter, although Venus has been another suggestion.
Monte Sant'Angelo, 227m high, is the end of the Monti Ausoni mountain range. Descending straight to the sea, the mountain blocked the path of the Appian Way (Via Appia), which veered north of the summit until Trajan had the rock face cut to clear a route at sea level. This commanding position on a major communications route and above a port gave the site obvious significance, and the religious complex was designed on a large scale, to incorporate a military base.
The large complex consisted of several buildings constructed over several centuries. The principal temple would have dominated the skyline, sitting on a large platform above the arcaded substructure and accessed up twelve steps. Behind this building a colonnaded portico ran along the cliffs. At a short distance a smaller temple had its own levelled rocky base, while other features included an 'oracle's cave', cisterns and military headquarters. A huge wall with nine towers protects the headland.
The most impressive remains are those of the vaulting at the base of the main temple area. A sequence of eleven arches provide a panoramic and striking cloister facing the sea, while on the landward side, the passage opens onto a 60m-long vaulted hall.
