On our way to Skåne, on the motorway, we passed these gigantic piles of tree. It's sad. Makes you think of the tropical rain forests.. :(

Bobbie Jones starts to cry as she takes the first steps into her family's former rental home two days after it was destroyed by fire in Lincoln, Neb., on Aug. 18, 2011. This is ISD Devastator - imperial-class Star Destroyer, in 1/4222 scale. The base kit is a later Empire Strikes Back release of the kit, which has added surface detail that the original release did not have. I’ve added some aftermarket parts to this build: the AMP (Arvey Model Products) Devastator Conversion kit for the bridge, neck, guns, trenches, and main docking bay, tho I used Odyssey Slipways engine bells; and Cosmos Models deflector balls. I didn’t use the gun pads, opting to just drill holes to allow the addition of the guns. I also used the original base that came with the kit. Model was primed with Tamiya Fine Primer for Models, and Tamiya AS-20 Insignia White (US Navy) for the base coat. I’ll eventually give it a light wash to made the surface details really stand out.
