One of the reasons I am posting these pictures, is to tell you behind the capture of these images is a memory of a undiluted pain given me by the bureaucrats of the Ministry of Information, inspite of having a valid press card the honcho who was handling all this at Nasik , made me wait hours for a pass, that would give me access to shoot the Shai Snan.He tortured me simply because I had a Muslim surname.He is one person, very Devanand like walk , red jacket slung over his shoulders I will never forget .He only gave access to foreigners, we Indian photo enthusiasts were treated worse than lepers, this is the irony of being a Indian but also being reminded that I am a Muslim, there is an inherent bureaucratic Hate that comes with the territory of the spirtiuality you shoot , my pictures of the Kumbh are pictures of pain.The Trimbakeshwar Shai Snan this gent kept me waiting for 5 hours finally refused to give me a pass.This is hate for my ethnicity , nothing else, I hardly looked like a Taliban in 2004 , I was dressed in normal clothes at Trimbakeshwar.

യവനനും ച്യവനനും പിന്നെ നമ്മുടെ പവനനുമൊക്കെ പണ്ടത്തെ രേഖകളില്‍ കൊല്ലത്തെ “കൊരക്കേണി കൊല്ലം” (cape of Kollam)എന്നാണു പരാമര്‍ശിച്ചുകാണുന്നത്. ഈ കൊരക്കേണി ബീ സീ അഞ്ഞൂറിനും ആയിരത്തിനുമിടക്ക് കടലെടുത്തെന്നാണു പരക്കെ വിശ്വാസം. തിരുമുല്ലവാരത്ത് ഒരുകാലത്ത് കരയായിരുന്ന കടലടിത്തട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന് കേട്ട് അതീ കാണാതെ പോയ സ്ഥലമാണെന്ന് സ്ഥാപിച്ച് ഫേയ്മസാകാന്‍ പറ്റുമോന്ന് നോക്കാന്‍ പോയപ്പോഴാണ് ഇവന്‍ കണ്ണിൽപ്പെട്ടത്. നളന്‍ എപ്പോഴും പറയുന്ന തിരുമുല്ലവാരം ഷാപ്പ് സീഫൂഡിനും ഊണിനും പ്രസിദ്ധമാണീ മാതൃകാ സ്ഥാപനം.
Most of them know me as while they shoot the local tourists on Juhu beach I shoot them as we belong to the same fraternity of camera users for a cause they use it to earn money I use it as my street documentary my street stories ..
There were very few in the beginning but than soon their tribe increased to identify that they are officially tourist photographer s they all were Mr Devanands Jewel thief caps red in color .
I have tremendous respect for their trade they are humble messengers of Amchi Mumbai and no brand ambassador like our poor man's Juhu beach.. The rich use it to walk and jog the tourists use it to hog I use it to photo blog .
Juhu beach the essence of Mumbai it's waters the holy waters of peace beyond caste color or creed .

Eu fui iniciada em meditação Mantra Yoga em julho de 1999, e tenho como meu Mestre Espiritual Swami Guru Devanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, hoje sigo os pensamentos filosóficos do meu Mestre. A meditação foi um ponto de mudança em minha vida e em minha vivência do Yoga.

Conclui o Curso de Formação de Integrative Yoga Therapy (IYT)1999-2000 , com Joseph Le Page em Itatiaia, RJ, Brasil.
Conclui também o Curso Formação Livre em Yoga (jan-2002 e julho 2003) pelo Instituto Dharma com os Professores Camila Reitz e Pedro Kupfer na,Florianópolis, 2003. Neste curso foram abordadas várias modalidades de Hatha Yoga (Iyengar, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, etc), filosofia do Yoga, história do Yoga com diversos professores convidados.
