Wishing you a great week ahead!
Is it just me or does anyone else also think that big raptors always sport a look of utter determination? :o)

A rare sighting in our area, this zone-tailed hawk continues to receive a lot of attention! Morro Bay, CA
An intimate landscape and a tiny tree growing out of the rock. This and the amazing lime color against a dark background, told an interesting story of beauty and determination.
These riders were running first and second when this image was snapped during a race at this year's Intelligencia Cup bicycle races in Mundelein, Illinois. I don't know how the fellow in second place here finished, but the gentleman in first place in this shot was the eventual winner of the race.

Have willingness, determination, focus and its goal will be realized successfully. 👌

One of our local cormorants.
The birds seem to have taken to perching on an old metal post just off the jetty. This makes it relatively easy to catch them in flight
Great cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo)

Many thanks to all those who take the time to comment on my photos. It is truly appreciated.

A Northern Harrier cruising across the grasslands with a look of determination on her face. This is another image taken on a recent outing for Northern Harriers in Central, NJ. I have yet to capture a good image of a grey ghost, and I hope to achieve that goal this winter season. View large for best details.
The weekend is here! Thanks for stopping by~!
A cloudy and dark late afternoon today - I kept driving and decided to stop on Deas Island, where the sky appeared less dramatic, but not for long. After about 15 minutes of walking, the rain moved in, when I spotted this kayaker and figured it'd be worth switching lenses and taking a landscape shot.
Ripley playing ball yesterday afternoon - this has to be one of the craziest action shots I've captured of her to date. The combination of the liftoff and her expression makes me smile every time I look at it. I love her spirit and determination!

Cattle die, kinsmen die, YOU will die! But the GLORY of your deeds will NEVER die! Crush your enemies beneath your feet! Tear them from the earth with NO MERCY! Leave NOTHING standing! Their bones will be dust, their screams forgotten, but YOUR NAME will THUNDER in Valhalla for ETERNITY!

While photographing this heron, it was amazing the determination and patience it displayed while searching for fish.
Herons have very keen eyesight and can remain extremely still before quickly plunging its pointy beak into the water to capture its prey.

Determination - Osprey retrieving a small piece of eucalyptus bark that was dropped in the water en route to the nest. I really like this wing pose as it shows the beautiful and intricate barring along the primary and secondary feathers in the inner wing. The windy storms this past week really affected the vegetation and water levels this week. The area I captured this image has now become inundated.
A mature tree growing through this hole in the rock. I can't imagine how many times it has suffered drought and flooding in this little crack. Amazing
