After a long night of combing through the trace evidence and the statements taken from those at the crime scene , DC Pepper and Inspector Bollo were called early in the morning to an incident back on Pepper’s patch. The two detectives, now working as a well oiled team, arrived on a now familiar, albeit somewhat different, scene. A crowd had gathered to gawk at the remains of a pepper cut neatly in two. The horror!
DC Pepper provided Inspector Bollo with a bit of background on the area. It was a poor part of town. The residents lived here out of desperation, not choice. They made their living as best they could, some, as likely was the case here, by cross-pollinating for a living. These were society’s forgotten. It was very seedy part of town. The victim, clearly well past her prime was, unfortunately, likely regarded by the generally better-off members of the population as just another statistic. But Pepper and Bollo were determined not to let social stigma interfere with their search for justice. What was the killer’s motive? Was this a Jack The Ripper wannabe on the loose? Again, the drudgery of gathering evidence and statements was begun. The one bit of encouragement was that the victim had not been thoroughly cut up so Pepper and Bollo suspected that the killer had been interrupted before completing his dastardly work, leading them to suspect they might be getting close. - JW

Detectives probing the kidnaps of two men in Salford last month are questioning five suspects after dawn raids this morning saw properties targeted across the city and Manchester as part of the investigation.
Earlier today (Thursday 7 April) officers from our Tactical Aid Unit (TAU), alongside local officers, hit six addresses in Blackley, Gorton and Salford.
The action comes after we received a report on the evening of Thursday 24 March regarding a man being assaulted and dragged into a car by a group of three men on Clarendon Park.
Thankfully after enquiries by specialist investigators, the victim - a man in his 20s - was found safe and well with some physical injuries but none that required hospital treatment.
Subsequent enquiries have led detectives from our Swinton CID to believe that a second man - also aged in his 20s - was also targeted by the group but was able to flee from the offenders vehicle.
We think that the incidents have been targeted attacks emanating from a possible drugs dispute involving organised criminals and we're keen to ensure that any potential suspects are identified and brought to custody for questioning.
Five men aged between 20 and 30 are currently in two custody sites across Greater Manchester and await questioning on suspicion of kidnap.

He is Detective Conan. The hero boy from Detective Conan anime series. His true name is Shinichi Kudo. Shinichi is a brilliant high school detective who often solves difficult cases for the police. During one of his investigations, he is attacked and forced to take an experimental poison by a member of the Black Organization. The drug was supposed to kill him, but due to a rare side-effect, he was inadvertently shrunk back to his childhood body. In order to keep his true identity a secret, he now goes under the alias Conan Edogawa and pretends to be a real child to throw off suspicion while he secretly solves many cases and looks for clues about the organization. He fears the organization will come back and kill him and everyone he knows if it is discovered that he isn't really dead. He is also in love with his childhood friend, Ran Mouri but can't reveal his feelings to her due to his current condition.
