This is a microscale destroyer inspired by the ships from the Homeworld games and the fine micro works of Spook.

Dumb as a post, but very pretty.

In 1915 (during the First World War) the Neutral country of Spain started a new naval rebuilding plane centered around the construction of a large number of Destroyers and Cruisers. Due to delays and the International Conflict, the decision to build them was delayed until 1922, when a new design was chosen based on the British “Admiralty” type flotilla leader with a displacement of 2000tons at full load.

The new class known as the “Churruca” was built in large numbers (18) during a very long period of time, starting in 1923 with the first and finishing in 1951 with the last! Because of this, each new ship was completed with many improvements over the older ones, which led to the increase in displacement and firepower.

The basic Churruca was armed with five 120mm guns in single mounts, plus a 76mm Anti-aircraft gun, six 533mm torpedo tubes mounted on two triple positions and two depth charge throwers. Over time, 20mm and 37/40mm Anti-aircraft guns were added, while the number of depth charge throwers was increase to four.

When the Spanish Civil War started, these ships were divided amongst the two sides of the War. To know more about their combat use during the War, click here for the next picture:

My Umarak the Destroyer revamp. One significant change I made is the jaw, which can be moved up and down. It is not a flawless system, as it prevents the jaw turning left or right, so the head is not otherwise posable.

My latest model, a modernised Sovremenny Chinese Destroyer!

I also made a small video about this model here:

For many years, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force (PLAN) lacked true blue water warships, mostly relying on older Soviet designs designed for coastal waters.

With the end of the cold war, the Russians sold four Sovremennyy-class destroyers to China, therefore becoming their main surface anti-ship force. Two of those ships were slightly modified designs, since they lacked the rear gun turret and had two Kasthan CIWS.

Recently, the Chinese launched a massive Naval Program and decided to modernize their older designs and the Sovremennyys were no exception.

According to photos that I was able to find online, they removed all weapons and radars from the ships and upgraded everything with new domestic equipment.

The older guns turrets will be replaced with the longer-range H/PJ38 130mm cannon, and new YJ-12A supersonic missiles replaced the 3M80E Moskit anti-ship missiles.

For aerial defence, the ship will carry VLCs for HQ-16C or HQ-9 anti-aircraft missiles, YJ-18 anti-ship missiles, and CJ-10 cruise missiles.

The design that you see above is just an interpretation of how the ship might look, since it´s still being remodeled right now.

This is a lightweight Dominus-class destroyer.

It is an attack destroyer, able to move quickly while being resistant and providing significant firepower.

It contains two hangars that can hold 10 fighters each.

The ship’s crew consists of approximately 600 men. The command consists of an admiral, 2 rear-admirals and 6 captains.

The ship has only one super propulsion reactor and one big canon.

The model presented is called Damascus.

Enjoy it?

Decommissioned destroyer J19 Småland

Despite being 15 years old or more by 1939 and very obsolete, the Trevo-class continues to be used in the Papillonese Navy. Yes, the black and red color scheme is unironic. Before President Skeleton was elected in 1929, Papillonese ships tended to be white with yellow funnels, on account of the warm climate. However, a good number of ships (especially destroyers) were later painted black to reflect the possibility of nighttime warfare. The yellow funnels were kept to "de-edge" the black and red combo.

Behind the build: I did this a year and a half ago during DC5, purely for fun. It might look a bit familiar.

LEGO Homeworld - Hiigaran Destroyer

I saw this cute little vermin this morning while photographing birds at Lindo Lake in Lakeside, California. They are a native pest and extremely destructive, as they dig holes everywhere for burrows, and eat ornamental trees and plants. They are especially bad for people who own horses as horses break their legs in the holes. Fortunately mother nature gets rid of a lot of them thanks to hawks, ospreys, coyotes, rattlesnakes and the like. I do what I can in the spring by trapping as many newborn as I can, and by late summer they are pretty much gone (on our property) until next spring when the cycle starts again. They look precious, but most home owners and gardners loathe them.

The Destroyer is a medium-sized Capital Ship designed primarily for anti-frigate combat by the Hiigarans. The ship was designed to be balanced with the Vaygr Destroyer in firepower, although in a one-on-one engagement the Vaygr ship would usually emerge victorious due to its concentration on heavier firepower. Its Heavy Kinetic guns enable the ship to both heavily damage frigates and destroyers and also attack strike craft much more efficiently than the Vaygr counterpart could. Its secondary weapons are two Torpedo tubes, mounted on forward underside section of the ship, which are used only against other capital ships as a backup to the cannons.

Well, I've finally finished on time. Seems like I picked a Homeworld SHIP just like almost everyone else. I decided to go with a color scheme based on a Counter Strike gun skin. At Brickfair I acquired some Lifelights which I knew I was going to use. No lights in the engines though, because I ran out of ports to plug LEDs into.

Length - 108 studs

LEDs - 8

Big thanks to Simon, and John for helping with parts and advice on what to do. Hopefully a nice edit will be coming soon.

When I was young, the term "star destroyer" was always confusing to me because I thought they were referring to the Death Star. Did anyone else feel this way?

Just pretend those upside down 1x1 round studs have black minifig hands in them. Because they would IRL.

So here is the Martel and Clovis, a cruiser and destroyer respectively. They've got an assortment of guns, some life boats, a seaplane launch, cool stripes... Yeah. Not too much to say here, these are just my usual style of boat. Not happy with the cruiser guns either, but I couldn't figure out anything else.

A well-balanced fleet destroyer, based on data gathered earlier in the decade by the Saethrymm in regards to their large torpedo boats and a destroyer-sized extrapolation that never went beyond the planning stage much like how the real Momis/Wakatakes/Minekazes/Kamikazes/Mutsukis were based on WWI German destroyer experience. Very similar to the Kaidou, which used the same data.

In actuality I built this first, then the Kaidou, using methods I developed on this ship.

even I do not finish the job but here's the important part of the beast, inspire me a little evangelion (remembering the Bersek mode) more than anything in the head and eyes trying to to brutalize the concept of this

Auf Blockhaus 20M ( CC du Camp-de-Veckring )

My take on a high effort droideka design.

Slightly bigger than Minifig scale. This was a love/hate thing designing it, because it's kinda impossible to shrink it down to proper scale without losing all the elegant characteristics that make the droideka so cool.

This is it for now, although I might revisit a few things in the future

every connection is legal and all the colors are available, with only a few being rare.

The rigid hoses did not render on a few of the photos. It's kinda buggy in Stud.io and also a pain in the butt to sculpt into the right shape

It's literally a Kagerou with different AA guns. I've actually had this in the works for 6 months, working on it a little bit every now and then. Eventually, I finished it. And here it is. Why'd I build it? It was in my head and I couldn't get it out till I did it.

MEGA FLUFF: The Kingdom of Cimmeria had been a great sea power in the days of yore, founding colonies in many parts of the world. They owed much of their focus on seapower to their relatively isolated position in the world, bordered on three sides by sea and one side by high mountains. Alas, when the republicans overthrew the increasingly instable royal regime towards the end of Wew War I, all that expertise in naval architecture fled abroad to avoid the revolutionary reign of terror that soon degraded into an anarchic civil war. By 1935, the leading warlords had formed the quasi-fascist Kimmerian National Government, but found themselves with an all-but-independent colonial empire that did not heed them because they had no modern ships with which to control them. Thus, the KNG sought the aid of Touhouese shipwrights. Many Kimmerian ships from the facist era are simply modified copies of Touhouese designs, such as the Waila. The remaining republicans joined the communists, and they ended up operating ancient WWI-era ships out of far-flung outposts the warlords weren't able to control.

Wew War II was tough on Cimmeria, especially the fleet. The navy was too small and spread over too wide a distance, and those ships which survived the disastrous campaigns abroad in the early days were soon hunted in the home waters by aircraft. Many Wailas, Waurkjanhuarn included, were refitted with a much-needed radar and a far more extensive AA suite, including 55mm autocannons, the same design which found its way into use on the post-war B-55-2. Early-war destroyers were painted entirely blue to help them blend in with the open ocean's horizon, but by the winter of 1946, they were painted to blend in with the snowy fjords of southern Kimmeria. Waurkjanhuarn was sunk in shallow water by a Zingaburian submarine on March 17th, 1946. The wreck was raised and restored in the 50s by the communist government and put up as a museum ship in Vinchi City, which not only told the tale of the war at sea, but also served as a memorial to sailors of both fascist and communist fleets in the war. Then, in 1979, Waurkjanhuarn was ordered scrapped by Premier Bernardus Sandersteda, who said "the soldiers of white imperialism deserve no honor or rememberance." The move backfired spectacularly; offending both fascist and communist veterans of WWII, as well as young voters across all racial lines, who resented the loss of what had become a pop-culture icon among them. Selerica Vidaldis began to be seen as a serious candidate for the Premiership after this incident; young and inexperienced as she was, at least she wasn't stealing the nation's history from its people.

Statue of Vishnu as Krishna, Arthur M. Sackler and Freer Gallery of Art, Washington, DC. In an interview about the first atomic bomb test, Robert Oppenheimer quoted from the Bhagavad Gita - "We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed, a few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, 'Now, I have become Death, the destroyer of worlds.' I suppose we all thought that, one way or another." You can watch a clip here. His tone says it all...

Destroyer of Worlds

In the heart of cosmic uncertainty, the Destroyer of Worlds stood at the crossroads of a devastating choice. A celestial entity, neither benevolent nor malevolent, she harbored the power to unravel the fabric of existence itself.

The inhabitants of her own world trembled in the wake of impending cataclysm, their destinies hanging in the balance. Simultaneously, her gaze extended beyond the cosmic veil, where entities from the deep recesses of space and monstrous creatures dwelling in the abysses of consciousness awaited their fates.

As the cosmic scales teetered, a profound question echoed through her ethereal existence: Would she be the harbinger of her own world's demise, or would she unleash the devastation from cosmic entities and the monstrous depths within? In the celestial tapestry of indecision, the Destroyer of Worlds pondered the gravity of her choice, knowing that the answer would echo through the cosmos, shaping destinies and sealing fates in the dance of cosmic uncertainty.

So far, the Esthian Imperial Army lacked a decent 8 x 8 Armoured Personnel Carrier.

Since I lack experience in building wheeled vehicles, I made a series of different chassis in search for the perfect one for the Army. 4 x 4 and 6 x 6 designs are simply too short.

I eventually completed a large chassis with an extensive amount of armour… but the chassis was simply too heavy (so I decided to scrap it and start over again).

Luckily, I also had a tank turret for a medium tank that never became operational and I decided to combine the two.

And this is the result :D

The “Alicanto” is a medium 8 x 8 fighting vehicle with room on the back for 6 soldiers, a powerful 90mm high velocity gun, a FASTA short range AA missile system and two 20mm autocannons (one of them coaxial).

The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain the cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans. RIMPAC 2016 is the 25th exercise in the series that began in 1971. (U.S. Navy combat camera photo by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Charles E. White/Released)

I present a Lego digital MOC of USS Michael Murphy (DDG -112). This ship has a special significance to me as I'm a "Plankowner" (former member of the commissioning crew). I spent 4 years aboard her stationed in Pearl Harbor ,Hawai'i. I have been working on this model on and off for about one full year. Estimated at 175-200 total hours using LDD. She is built near 1:40 scale. 478 studs long, 60 studs wide, and 168 studs from sonar dome to top of mast. A total of 18,266 bricks. I tried to make her as detailed as possible inside the constraints of a VERY picky LDD program .Inspiration comes from so many builders here on Flickr, but specifically Dan Siskind, Julie vanderMeulen, Capt_Rye, and Ed Diment I hope you all enjoy as it has been a labor of love.

A new, modern destroyer built in Papillon under Naval Treat Acquisition Program of 1935. Several different designs competed for the contract, but President Skeleton's autism interfered and forced the Navy to chose the design that was least like those of the "thief-nations" of Valdaeria and Fujou. Like all destroyers in the navy, this one is painted black in expectation of night fighting. Andyrian reporters cringed when they saw it, but this delighted President Skeleton and Marshal Casper, who resolved to continue with this paint scheme for light ships.

This ship isn't based on one in particular. It takes Japanese, German, and even some American elements and combines them. Heavy AA gun inspired by John Moffatt, fire director stolen from Matt. Ironic, isn't it :^)

The Swiftregn-class was an improvement on the Þoden-class, launched in 1917, having slightly better armament, a bit more range, and air-conditioned crew quarters (like the last four ships in the Þoden class, making tropical assignments much easier on the sailors). Also of note is the 3-inch gun being replaced by a 1.5-inch (38.1mm) twin autocannon turret, complete with splinter-proof shielding (yet another thing I stole from doodles Ian showed me). This weapon is the principle mid-range AA gun of the Ordenric, and was introduced in 1922. Eventually, most of our ships will be armed with it, once they go through their refits, like the Swiftregns are currently. Lætregn here has just come out of the drydock, having had her superstructure updated with new circular windows in addition to getting the new weapon. Airplanes are a growing threat, but it is believed that one pair of such guns should be enough to take them on handily. Right?

Oh yeah, stole the anchor from Squiddie.
