Andromeda lace bug (Stephanitis takeyai).
The andromeda lace bug is about 3 millimeters in length. It has a characteristic rounded pronotum, lacy black and white wings, and shiny gold highlighting.

Native birds have the good manners to allow pollination of the blossom so that fruits may be provided later in the year.
I watched a group of geese destroy every dandelion in their path. I don't know if the seeds pass through their digestive system and are viable which would help the plant to spread or if by eating them they are acting as a natural weed killer.
