While visiting Des Moines, we attended the International Food Festival. When I go to such events, I often pick out interesting people and take snaps of them. Creepy? I dunno. But people are so damn funny.
Thought I would add one more from this concert. If you ever get a chance to see Michael Franti, do it.
Ospreys are unique among North American raptors for its diet of live fish and ability to dive into water to catch them. I caught this Osprey with its catch right after coming out of the water. You can see the water still pouring off of the tail feathers.
Scenes from the 2022 Des Moines Turkey Trot were nearly 5000 runners participated. The weather was fantastic.
Downtown on the river near the dam you will find many people who avidly fish ....almost like they are fishing for their daily food.
As you can tell he comes fairly prepared and I found him thoroughly engrossed at his work or passion and an interesting photo on the study of life.
Lightning over Des Moines, Iowa. Almost is referring to the fact that it looks as if the lightning struck the tallest building (801 Grand), but look closely and its just in line with the top of the building and is actually well behind the building.
So this happened today. The Des Moines Register interviewed me earlier in the week for an article about my skyline build. It appeared on their website, but I never expected it to make it to actual print. Achievement unlocked?
For the curious among you, the tomatoes in question came to Iowa from Oregon by way of a mountain in Siberia. :)
