The Kasbah of the Udayas was built in the 12th century during the reign of the Almohad Caliphate. After its defeat, the kasbah was deserted around 1200.
It was restored at some point, and is now an upscale living quarters for locals and expats.
It is beautiful with its winding lanes, and blue and white buildings.
Rabat is a UNESCO world Heritage site, for its blend of historical sites including the Kasbah and city walls housed within the modern city.
The Convention Centre in Montreal reminds me of a giant kaleidoscope. This is the first word that came to my mind when looking at the interior of the building; however, I saw this description included in the documentation of the building…and I thought I had invented it!
When the sun shines the floor is decorated in bright colors and the sky takes interesting colours. This multicoloured façade, including 332 coloured glass panels and 58 transparent one, was designed by Montreal architect Mario Saia as part of the expansion work done between 2000 and 2002. It is undoubtedly one of the most photogenic places and photographed in Montreal.
